Exploring Life & Business with Leticia of AIM Texas LLC/LCS Insurance Agency Inc dba Connect Insurance Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leticia.

Hi Leticia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My insurance career began twenty years ago as a Customer Service Representative for an Independent Insurance Agent in the Garland area. I was promoted to Office Manager six months later as the agency continued to grow. I never saw it as just a job, but rather as assisting clients in understanding insurance. I built strong relationships with my clients, and some became lifelong friends.

Six months before COVID, the owner of the agency began the process of retiring and made the decision to let me go. Although the change was scary, it motivated me to start my own agency. While I was inexperienced in business ownership—even though I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Management—I was an expert at assisting people.

My agency survived COVID, and for five years I was a one-woman show- handling claims, quotes, customer service—you name it, I did it all without a CSR. In 2025, I partnered with AIM Texas LLC. This partnership was a positive change for my agency, as I now have support and we work with a team. The team includes Steve Bradfield – Managing Agent, myself Leticia Salinas – Bilingual / Licensed Agent – Personal and Commercial Lines , and Jonathan Anderson – CSR. Together, our agencies assist clients with both personal and commercial insurance products. We look forward to the future and are excited to continue providing excellent customer service and building long-term client relationships.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I mentioned earlier, I started my agency six months before COVID, so while many people were losing their jobs, I was focused on staying afloat by remaining positive and concentrating on the clients I did have. Additionally, most of the carriers I represent offered flexible payment options to help clients maintain their coverage. The anxiety about the future did not stop me from looking forward, thanks to my spiritual beliefs.

What were you like growing up?
I am the extrovert out of my family of seven siblings, even as a little girl. This sometimes got me into trouble because, at six years old, I didn’t understand that not everyone was your friend, so my five brothers kept a close eye on me. I was—and still am—fascinated by reading books.
I remember being in elementary school and joining the reading program where, if I read fifteen books a month, the librarian would give me a coupon to a franchise pizza restaurant that could be redeemed for a free small pizza. I often exceeded the monthly reading goals, but the librarian would only give me one coupon per month. For me, books were an escape from the world—an adventure when I was younger. Now, as an adult, I believe knowledge is power so I continue to read lots of books.
