Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivohe Flores.
Hi Ivohe , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Ivohe Flores, and my journey in the United States began in 2016 when I arrived alone in Miami, Florida, with a suitcase, a background in marketing and events, and the determination to start over.
During my first years in the country, I continued working in the field I knew best. I organized fashion events and promoted emerging designers from Latin America and other countries, creating visibility and business opportunities in Miami. That experience became my first professional foundation in the U.S. and allowed me to connect with creative and multicultural communities.
Like many immigrants, stability did not come immediately. While working different jobs, including in a health insurance office, I discovered a new purpose and decided to transition into the insurance industry. To support myself while studying, I drove for Uber, balancing long mornings on the road with afternoons dedicated to training and learning the health insurance system.
In 2019, I began my career as a licensed health insurance agent. My first Open Enrollment was challenging, but every client represented progress. In 2020, during the pandemic, I received my first commission as an agent—an important turning point that allowed me to leave Uber and focus fully on my profession.
That same year, I moved alone to Dallas, Texas, where I built a new chapter of my life. Today, I am an independent insurance agent licensed in over 30 states and the founder of Insurance Company USA LLC. My mission is to educate, support, and provide access to health coverage—especially for immigrant and multicultural families—helping them navigate a system that can truly change lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I faced was starting over alone in a new country, without family support, while adapting to a completely different cultural, professional, and language environment.
From the beginning, the language barrier was a major obstacle. Studying for my insurance license in English, understanding regulations, contracts, and technical terminology required extra effort, discipline, and persistence. I often had to study twice as much to fully understand the material and feel confident applying it in real situations.
Financial instability was another constant challenge. Balancing multiple jobs, studying, and driving for Uber demanded resilience and long hours, with very little room for rest. Learning the U.S. health insurance system—complex and highly regulated—was especially challenging as an immigrant navigating it for the first time.
When I later moved alone to Dallas, the language barrier became even more evident. Building new relationships, establishing trust with clients, and growing professionally in a new city pushed me far outside my comfort zone.
Perhaps the most personal challenge was emotional—being separated from my family for years while building stability on my own. However, every obstacle strengthened my purpose. These challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perseverance, shaping the way I now serve and support the communities I work with.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Insurance Company USA LLC?
Insurance Company USA LLC is an independent insurance business based in Dallas, Texas, through which I operate as an independent insurance professional serving individuals and families across the United States.
My work focuses on providing personalized health, life, and supplemental insurance solutions, including health coverage under the Affordable Care Act, life insurance, travel and international insurance, and funeral and final-expense assistance. Rather than focusing on one-time transactions, my approach is centered on long-term guidance, education, and continuous support throughout the year.
What sets my business apart is the strong emphasis on communication and trust. Many of the clients I serve—especially immigrant and multicultural families—are navigating the U.S. insurance system for the first time. Through bilingual support, clear explanations, and ongoing follow-up, I help clients feel informed, protected, and confident in their decisions.
In addition to client service, I have intentionally built a strong brand presence through digital marketing and social media. By using clear messaging and a recognizable brand identity, my business has been able to reach diverse communities nationwide and create strong brand recall and trust among clients.
What I am most proud of is the impact this work has beyond policies. Insurance Company USA LLC was created to provide stability, education, and peace of mind—helping families protect their health, plan for the future, and feel supported during some of the most important moments of their lives.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, my focus is on expanding the impact of my work while staying true to the values that inspired me to start. I plan to continue growing Insurance Company USA LLC by reaching more individuals and families across different states, especially within immigrant and multicultural communities that often lack access to clear and trustworthy guidance.
One of my main goals is to strengthen the educational side of my business—creating more content, resources, and outreach initiatives that help people understand their insurance options before they are faced with urgent decisions. I also plan to continue expanding my services in areas such as travel and international insurance, as well as funeral and final-expense assistance, so families feel protected during every stage of life.
In the future, I look forward to mentoring and supporting other agents who share the same service-driven mindset, helping them grow professionally while maintaining ethical and client-centered practices.
Ultimately, my long-term vision is to build a brand that is recognized not just for the policies it offers, but for the trust, education, and peace of mind it provides. Growth, for me, means reaching more people while continuing to serve with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
