Today we’d like to introduce you to Celene Garcia.
Hi Celene, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always dreamed about becoming a hairstylist since I was little. It hasn’t been easy. I wasn’t able to go to a beauty school right after graduating from high school, I had to work for a few years in another industry. Then I decided that it was the right time to go to Cosmetology school.
I was always interested in hair color, that was what I always wanted to do. Then after graduating from Cosmetology school I started taking clients here and there for special events, but I was more focused on learning about hair color.
Then I worked at a a couple of salons at the same time, one of them doing blowouts and at another as an assistant, helping other hairstylists with their color and extensions clients.
while I was still taking clients for special events on weekends. Working 3 jobs while being pregnant was hard. By the time I was already enjoying more doing special event hair, updos, waves, etc. while I was posting every client on instagram, people kept referring me, complementing my work, and new clients coming to me. I was becoming recognized in DFW for my updos and special event hair. Then I decided that I wanted to focus my career on special events hair, that was what I truly enjoyed and it was a job that I worked but I didn’t feel like I was working so that was the one that wanted to keep. Later that year when I became a mother I had to paused it for almost a year, I really missed doing pretty hairstyles. Once again I had to start from the bottom, but luckily I always have had good clients that come back to me and my work speaks by itself. I always offer quality over quantity at reasonable prices.
Now I specialize in special events hair, updos, Hollywood waves, etc. I also offer other services as blowouts and haircuts.
I am very grateful for al of my clients, and all the support that I have received through the years. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, it’s had many ups and downs. In 2022, I was becoming recognized in the industry. However, I had to take a long break after having my baby and saying no to clients was incredibly difficult for me.
At the time, I was receiving numerous inquiries. Not only for the rest of the year, but for the following year as well. I was finally where I wanted to be, yet I had to decline all of those opportunities. That made me feel sad and frustrated, but I also knew that it wasn’t going to be permanent.
I knew I would work hard again and make things to happen. I knew my name was going to be out there once again

What sets me apart is the time and care I take with every client to create their dream hair and bring their vision to life. I don’t take on many clients at once just to make money. Instead, I focus on creating beautiful, high quality, long lasting hairstyles. Every look is crafted with intention and care, and the results are fantastic and speak for themselves.
It feels incredible when my clients send me messages about how they loved their hair, and how many compliments they received. Those moments truly make me proud and grateful.
