Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For more than 20 years, I navigated the challenges of single parenthood while raising five children. Along the way, I suddenly derailed from pursuing a doctorate after a serious hospitalization in 2009 due to ulcers, followed shortly by my youngest daughter’s hospitalization for pneumonia. Living in California while relying on the support of my family in Texas, the weight of these challenges often tested my resolve. I wanted to quit on numerous occasions, but I continued towards my goal.
What sustained me during that season was my faith in God and a deep belief in His purpose for my life. Through perseverance, support, and unwavering determination, I ultimately completed my doctoral degree—an achievement shaped not only by education, but by resilience, faith, and endurance. I was also motivated to show my children that they cannot achieve their goals no matter the obstacles.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
