Today we’d like to introduce you to Tira Bailem.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my real estate journey in 2019 with a vision rooted in ownership and long-term wealth. My initial goal was to become an investor, and as I studied the market, contracts, and deal structure, I realized that understanding the agency side of real estate would be a powerful advantage. I wanted to learn how transactions truly worked from the inside out—so that one day, I could confidently broker my own deals.
That plan shifted in 2020 after helping my very first client. What started as a strategic move quickly became something much deeper. I fell in love with the service side of real estate—the relationships, the trust, and the opportunity to guide people through one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives.
Service has always been a constant theme in my life. In one way or another, I’ve spent my entire career helping others, so stepping into real estate felt natural. It aligned with who I already was: someone who listens, advocates, and shows up with intention.
Today, I’ve had the privilege of helping first-time homebuyers, downsizers, and relocating clients—each with unique needs and stories—navigate their next chapter. I do this with the guidance and support of one of the largest real estate teams in the United States, allowing me to combine personalized service with deep market expertise.
Real estate, for me, is more than transactions. It’s about stewardship, guidance, and helping people feel confident as they move forward—one home, and one story, at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I entered the industry at one of the most unpredictable moments in modern real estate—at the height of COVID. Like many new agents, I navigated shutdowns, uncertainty, and a market that changed almost weekly, all while building my business from the ground up.
One of my earliest challenges was not being based in my hometown, which limited my ability to work my natural sphere and required me to build relationships intentionally rather than by proximity. At the same time, rapid price increases and competitive market conditions pushed many of my clients—especially first-time buyers—temporarily out of homeownership, forcing me to adapt, educate, and advocate in new ways.
Throughout this period, I also balanced a dual career, managing the demands of real estate alongside another profession. That experience sharpened my discipline, time management, and resilience, and reinforced my commitment to building a sustainable, client-focused business despite market headwinds.
We’ve been impressed with Living on Lane which operates under the SWR team Keller Williams Frisco , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Living on Lane is a real estate brand built on guidance, integrity, and service. At its core, the brand exists to help people navigate homeownership and housing transitions with clarity, confidence, and care—guiding clients home, one lane at a time.
I specialize in working with first-time homebuyers, renters transitioning into ownership, downsizers, and relocating clients throughout North Dallas and its surrounding communities. My approach is both strategic and deeply personal, blending market expertise with education and advocacy so clients feel informed and supported at every stage of the process.
What sets Living on Lane apart is its people-first philosophy. I don’t believe in rushing decisions or treating real estate as a transaction-only business. Instead, I focus on long-term outcomes—helping clients understand not just what they can buy, but what makes sense for their life, finances, and future. Backed by the guidance of one of the largest real estate teams in the country, I’m able to pair boutique-level service with deep industry knowledge and resources.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust Living on Lane has built. The brand represents consistency, transparency, and approachability in an industry that can often feel overwhelming. For readers, I want Living on Lane to feel like a safe entry point into real estate—whether you’re buying your first home, relocating to North Texas, or simply exploring what’s next. It’s not just about where you live, but how you live along the way.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I Like Best About Our City
I love the blend of Southwestern style and modern city energy. The diversity, strong economic environment, and constant growth create endless opportunities, while the food, entertainment, and cultural scene make it a place where people can truly build both a career and a life.
What I Like Least About Our City
The rapid growth comes with growing pains—development can outpace infrastructure, and affordability has become more challenging. On a personal level, being away from my hometown also means being farther from family and lifelong friends, which is never easy. Still, it’s a tradeoff I’ve made in pursuit of opportunity and building something meaningful.
