Hidden Gems: Meet Angela Jack of Angela Jack Real Estate and Restfulgetaway.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Jack.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2009 I went through a horrific divorce. I was homeless with three children after fleeing an abusive situation. A friend offered me a job as an administrative assistant. The company was a hedge fund exclusively purchasing commercial loans. The company either renegotiated the loan or foreclosed and sold the property for a profit. It did not take too long and got “the real estate bug.” I was promoted to an asset manger overseeing 21M in commercial properties. My job was to add value to every high rise, strip center, warehouse and any other property handed to me in order to turn it for a profit. I was kind of like “flipping REOs”. I loved it!
I began to realize I needed my real estate license. So, in 2012, I completed my courses and began pursuing residential real estate. I started with the brokerage, Century 21, moving to Fathom Realty in 2014 and then pursuing a brokerage of my own in 2020.
Because of my humble career beginnings, I have always looked for the person who needed help. My heart has always been to serve first, find a need to fulfill for someone else and don’t focus on the money aspect.
Success will follow the heart that “finds a need and fills a need.” This has been my pursuit for the last 17 years.
Along with the real estate business, my husband and I have been the owners of 3 short term rental cabins in a company we named, Restfulgetaway.com for the last 8 years, We live on acreage with chickens, ducks and garden. We have hosted 1,000s of weary souls who have found rest and it has left a permanent smile on our faces.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not a smooth road. I made lots of mistakes but as long as I stayed teachable, I grew.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Each one of us has a creative side. However, few of us utilize it. Whether it’s marketing a new listing, staging or furnishing a rental home, creativity is a must. It starts with the ability to free yourself from the herd and think “outside the box.” The world doesn’t need more than one Joanna Gaines. The world needs your voice.. your thoughts, your creativity.

Whenever I market a home for sale, I look at the home as unique. I dig out its’ treasure so I can present it as something precious and desirable. I tenaciously seek out the home’s sweet spot and I don’t give up until I find it. Almost all my homes have sold in less than week because I would spend hours preparing the marketing to present the home in it’s best light!

Another area where I love to show case creativity is in my short term rentals. We have three cabins and they are named: The Hidden Treasure Harvest House, The Casa Estiva (Italian for summer house) and Abba’s Place. Each one carries a theme. The decor is unique to the theme. One is built by a garden. another is in a ravine and the last one is by a pond.

Stopping to be creative, rather than following the crowd, has been my secret weapon, and has brought such delight into my life!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I would love to work with others in helping younger singles, couples and families to find home ownership.

The best way to contact me is through my email: angelajackrealestate.com

I am also looking for support to create a virtual broker platform in order to help sellers minimize their expense in selling their home. If I can find the right techie person, this would be such a good use of AI. The market is changing and we can not be afraid to adapt to the changes that are coming.
