Meet Jax White of Mineola Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jax White.

Hi Jax , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jax White is a 10-year-old athlete from East Texas with a passion for baseball and football. He began playing baseball at just 4 years old, and from the very start, his love for the game and natural talent stood out. Over the years, Jax has continued to grow his skills through dedication, hard work, and competitive travel ball, where he plays key positions as a pitcher and catcher. His commitment to the sport has led to an incredible milestone holding the world record for pitching a reflection of both his discipline and drive at such a young age. Today, Jax continues to train, compete, and chase his dreams while representing Texas with pride, determination, and heart.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not always been smooth for Jax. Although he has been playing baseball since the age of 4 and competing in both baseball and football, his journey has come with challenges—especially because of his size. Jax’s talent level often causes adults to hold him to a much higher standard, and at times he is treated more like a teenager than a 10-year-old.
There has also been discrimination and criticism, not from the kids, but from parents who question his ability or try to minimize his accomplishments because of his size. Those comments can be difficult, but Jax has learned an important lesson early on: people don’t talk about you when you’re not good—they talk about you when you are.
Instead of letting the negativity affect him, Jax uses it as motivation. He trains harder, stays focused, and continues to improve his game. His mindset, work ethic, and resilience have helped him rise above the noise and continue to grow as both an athlete and a young leader.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
.
Pitching is where I’ve spent the most time developing my skills. I hold a world record for pitching, which is something I’m extremely proud of—not just because of the achievement itself, but because of the work behind it. It represents years of training, discipline, sacrifice, and staying committed even when things were difficult or uncomfortable. That experience taught me that success doesn’t come from talent alone, but from showing up every day and doing the work.

Because of my size and ability, I’m often held to a higher standard and treated like an older athlete. I’ve faced criticism and doubt, mostly from adults rather than other kids. Instead of letting that discourage me, I’ve learned to use it as motivation. I understand that expectations come with opportunity, and I choose to respond by raising my level of effort, focus, and accountability.

What truly separates me is my mindset. I take pride in being coachable, disciplined, and consistent. I push myself to improve every day, whether that’s through training, preparation, or learning from my mistakes. I don’t rely on natural ability—I rely on preparation and mental toughness. Performing under pressure is something I’ve learned to embrace, and I believe that’s where growth and confidence are built.

I’m proud of how hard I work, how I handle challenges, and the way I carry myself as an athlete and teammate. I know I still have a lot to learn, and that drives me to keep getting better every day.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Jax is a shy, quiet kid at first, but once he breaks out of his shell, you can’t stop him. He loves to laugh, have fun, and play with anyone—no matter their age. He’s competitive to the bone, but he stays very humble about his accomplishments.
He lets his actions speak louder than his words, respects everyone around him, and brings energy and positivity wherever he goes.
