Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Gilmore.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey behind the lens began 19 years ago with a simple mission: delivering high-caliber imagery that respects a client’s bottom line. I spent my first seven years capturing the fast-paced, emotional world of weddings before pivoting my focus toward the corporate and commercial sectors.
Today, that evolution has taken me nationwide. Based in DFW but operating across the country, I provide a full suite of visual storytelling tools—from cinematic video and professional photography to high-end aerial imagery.
I’ve never believed in ‘boxing myself in.’ Rather than niche down into a single industry, I partner with companies of all shapes and sizes. My calendar reflects that diversity: one day I’m capturing executive headshots, the next I’m on-site at an aluminum recycling plant, and the day after that, I’m helping a dental practice showcase their patient care. I thrive on the variety, the new challenges, and the opportunity to see how the world works through my camera. For me, this isn’t just a career—it’s a craft I share with my family and a passion I look forward to every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. The struggles of finding a new client, the struggles of maintaining a current client, dealing with the bts of running a business and balancing family responsibilities and staying on top of trends and the industry in general, but it beats working in an office 9-5
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The business started in 2007 after being encouraged from a friend to start my own business while I was unemployed. I was then told to “do what you love and the money will come”.
What set’s my business a part is:
1 I really care for my clients and the visions they have
2 I provide both photo and video services and know how to shoot both very well
3 I focus on creating a client relationship that is long lasting, not just a one and done job
Every year reach a new milestone for my business that continues to push me to do more.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I live in Fort Worth but mainly work in Dallas.
One thing for sure is, Dallas is not Fort Worth and vice versa.
Both cities have major draws and also lacks where each other city excels.
The entire DFW has a lot to offer and it’s a great area to be able to travel from.
