Robin Fahmi of DeSoto, Texas on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Robin Fahmi. Check out our conversation below.

Robin, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
What a great question. Thank you. I am so happy and grateful, and thankful that I feel joy every day. We spend a considerable amount of time attempting to identify our passions and purpose in life. The search for these two reasons for being can lead a person around in circles without ever reaching a definitive conclusion regarding why we were born or why we are here in this dimension on earth at this time.

During my journey, I have come to understand that being aware and paying attention to where I place my attention keeps me grounded and instinctively connected with how my emotions serve me. This is how I get to participate in my life. I made a conscious decision more than thirty years ago that my purpose in this life is to exude joy and happiness everywhere that I am in the world. And now I purposely share with women how to connect with the joy in their lives through the use of conscious languaging. I feel joy in every moment.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Robin Fahmi, and I have a talent for winning. I am the founder of Fahmi Enterprise. I am a teacher, a guide, a storyteller, and a healer for women. I open hearts much like a can opener. I have been journeying for 40 years. It began in 1988, when I heard the whisper of these words in my ear. “You will speak, and people will listen.” It was no more specific than that. I understood this would be both my instruction and my mission. The whisper of this promise still keeps me going even today.

I naturally thought this meant that I would become a well-known motivational speaker, but, instead, in that liberating moment, I locked myself into a box. I was untitled, and I got stuck trying to understand my subject matter and decide on the perfect moniker for myself. I was never sure how to approach the stage because it wasn’t clear to me how to present myself. All of these distractions were just places for me to hide. Also, when you are multi-talented, that’s a whole other situation.

I am happy and grateful that I have finally found my way to being myself. Today, I run Fahmi Enterprise as my umbrella business. The Enterprise enables me to shift gears and utilize my talents in various ways. I do business as “You Will Speak” and Black Lavender Xclusive. I am available for speaking engagements, group events, and self-honoring training for women. We teach the mechanics of how to think and express thoughts that allow women to break through cycles of self-sabotage and live their lives filled with gratitude and joy.

This is important because “How” is the spiritual component that is always there, in the wings, waiting for you to ask for whatever it is you would like to have be present in your life. Thus, understanding how to ask, allow, and receive your desires matters. I am happy to meet you all, and I look forward to meeting you in person on the path. Thank you.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I am not sure about my earliest memory of feeling powerful. But I am certain that I was afraid of my power for many years. Now, I understand it’s about the signals that I broadcast and being aligned with the frequency of brilliance. This is key for me.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Remember, I mentioned that I have been journeying for 40 years. That’s a really long time, and giving up was never an option. So, no, there has never been a time in my life when I almost gave up on something that I believed in. Belief will keep your dreams alive. Belief will bridge the gaps. You may have to redirect your energy along the way and live life in between the spaces. But you don’t have to stop paying attention to your dreams and thinking about them. So, as long as you can feel you can grow, develop, and figure things out, it’s always all good, no matter how it seems.

After all, we are worthy of our true desires, and that’s enough to fuel what you believe to become reality. Had I given up, I would not be here with you now. Your life is so worth it.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe that I am connected to the greatest power source that exists in the universe. My beliefs instill a certainty within me that causes me to declare my intentions, knowing that wherever I place my attention, that’s what will show up in my life.

I believe that if I am consciously aware of my thoughts and careful with my words and how I language my life. Thereafter, what shows up in my life is proof that my words accomplished what they were sent forth to do. And, this is exactly what “You Will Speak,” and Black Lavender Xclusive is here to teach women who are ready to break through cycles of self-sabotage and live their lives connected to this same power source. It may be that I can’t always prove the power source to those who don’t believe, but I can live as an expression of the source, knowing that all is well and enough is always available.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I learned a very valuable lesson years ago. One of my teachers impressed upon me that you always want to be working yourself out of business. Meaning that you should always serve your customers and people at the highest level, so that eventually they won’t need you. If I retired tomorrow, my customers wouldn’t miss me. I would rather believe that my customers will remember the expression of energy we shared. And continue teaching others and filling the world with joy and gratitude.
