Story & Lesson Highlights with Sarah and Karma Hinnawi and Alsaga of Dallas

We recently had the chance to connect with Sarah and Karma Hinnawi and Alsaga and have shared our conversation below.

Sarah and Karma, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
yes I would hire us, because we work from our heart and love what we do.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are Karma and Sarah, and we are the co founders of Playful Kids club. We started this company as a passion project and it grew into something so much bigger, creating meaningful experiences for kids, and now the interest is transitioning to adults.
We bring craft stations to birthdays, corporate family days, luxury resorts, community events, malls, and pop-ups across Dallas and beyond.
Our focus is on quality, creativity, and experiences kids are proud to take home, not just activities to pass the time.
What makes our brand special is the heart behind it. As moms and entrepreneurs, we wanted to build something that sparks imagination while also bringing people together. We’re known for our polished setups, attention to detail, and ability to tailor each experience to the client, whether that’s a luxury hotel, a major corporation, or a backyard birthday.
Playful Kids Club is about connection, creativity, and making moments feel special. We’re constantly evolving, expanding our offerings, collaborating with brands, and finding new ways to make creativity accessible, memorable, and fun for all ages.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
Life and honestly, becoming moms. Building our family taught us the most about work, balance, resilience, and what truly matters.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, definitely. In the beginning, we felt lost, unsure of where to start, how to grow, and whether we were even moving forward. Spending less time with our families made it especially hard.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you have to sacrifice family to succeed. We’ve learned that building a business can coexist with being present, it just requires intention and boundaries.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Holding back out of fear or exhaustion, instead of fully committing to our vision and giving our business everything we’ve got.
