Exploring Life & Business with Aj Brown of Chop Shop Motorsports

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aj Brown.

Aj, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got super sick after graduating high school. I wasn’t able to stand up vertical due to no spinal pressure so I was always losing jobs because i was always sick. so, I decided to start building motorcycles out of my house. it eventually got so busy I had to move into a commercial business and that’s when in 2009 chop shop motorsports was invented. started winning rallies and build offs, from there got on discovery channel 3 times and multiple magazines. from the I started a tattoo shop called Lifetime Body Art with my fiancée Aalina and its also located in Keller and then partnered with Russ and we now have Hollywood’s Pour Shack. Now all 3 locations we host charity events and love to give back to the community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every business has its ups and downs. with the motorcycle shop at the build offs some of the shows is based around politics. People try and tear you down you just got to fight through it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a motorcycle shop that specializes in custom builds. other services we offer is fabrication, new and used parts, engine and transmission overhauls, powder coat and Cerakote. The thing I love about this is starting from nothing and building a new piece of artwork.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I own multiple businesses and have been on tv shows and magazines.
