Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel & Valencia Williams.
Hi Nathaniel & Valencia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
TransforMEtion Journey is a wellness, focused organization founded by Valencia Williams and co-founded by Nathaniel Williams.
Officially launched on July 31, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization was created to address the growing need for accessible health education, nutrition, and accountability.
Initially serving women nationwide through virtual coaching on Zoom.
What started as a personal hashtag documenting Coach V’s health journey, where she loss over 100 pounds quickly became a movement, serving women nationwide through virtual coaching, accountability, and education.
TransforMEtion Journey became known for its 100-Day Workout Challenges, emphasizing daily movement, nutrition education, mindset development, and sustainable lifestyle change. These programs supported women during a period of heightened physical and emotional stress.
In 2021, the organization expanded to include healthy meal prep services for local pickup and delivery, followed by cooking classes for small and large groups and catering services for events of all sizes.
All meals are prepared using fresh ingredients, herbs, and whole foods, with no canned, frozen, or jarred products.
In 2022, TransforMEtion Journey launched Coach V’s Multi-Seasoning, a handcrafted seasoning blend designed to support healthier cooking practices.
The seasoning contains no MSG, is low in salt, with Himalayan being it’s choice, and provides a practical tool for individuals seeking to prepare flavorful meals while reducing reliance on heavy sauces or processed ingredients.
As of March 2025, TransforMEtion Journey began vending at The Cedar Market Ranch, where the love and demand for its Birria Tacos, Quesadillas, and Chicken Street Tacos grew rapidly, further solidifying its reputation as both a wellness-forward and flavor-driven brand.
In May 2025, TransforMEtion Journey reached another milestone when it was approved to operate HeBrews Coffee Café at Disciple Central Community Church (DC3). Through this, the business serves breakfast before church services and lunch afterward, where their church family supports dearly.
Food here is more than indulgence, it’s an extension of healing, culture, and care. TransforMEtion Journey isn’t chasing trends. It’s building legacy, one meal, one lesson, one transformation at a time.
The organization also remains committed to community outreach, including feeding the homeless and volunteering at senior living facilities.
The long-term goal of TransforMEtion Journey is to offer free or low-cost nutritional cooking education and healthy meals to elderly and underserved populations who cannot afford these services.
There is a demonstrated need for accessible nutrition education, and TransforMEtion Journey is actively working toward building sustainable solutions to meet that need.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
TransforMEtion Journey was not built with privilege, capital, or perfect conditions, it was built with grit, faith, and relentless perseverance.
The business began with no startup capital. In its earliest stages, funding came through personal loans, pre-sale offers, and sheer determination.
Coach V leveraged creativity and trust within the community, offering services in advance to generate the resources needed to operate.
Every step forward required strategy, sacrifice, and belief in a vision that had not yet fully materialized.
The journey was further tested by significant personal and physical setbacks.
On November 9, 2019, her birthday, Coach V underwent emergency hernia surgery, marking the beginning of a long season of recovery and uncertainty.
In 2021, she faced another major challenge when complications from severe hemorrhoids left her bedridden for seven and a half months.
Then September 2022, both Coach V and her husband, Nathaniel Williams, were involved in a serious accident that resulted in knee and back injuries.
These health challenges forced difficult decisions. Meal prep services and catering operations had to be temporarily paused, not due to lack of demand or vision, but because healing and recovery were necessary.
It was a season that tested patience, finances, and endurance for both founders.
Despite the setbacks, the mission never stopped.
Coach V and Nathaniel Williams chose resilience over retreat. While operations slowed, the vision remained active. Planning continued.
Faith remained firm. And when the time was right, TransforMEtion Journey resumed, stronger, wiser, and more intentional than before.
These challenges did not break the business; they refined it.
Today, TransforMEtion Journey stands as a testament to what can be built when obstacles are met with perseverance and purpose. The brand’s success is not defined by the absence of hardship, but by the refusal to quit in the face of it.
“TransforMEtion Journey wasn’t built with a safety net,” says Founder Valencia Williams. “We started with no capital, just personal loans, pre-sale offers, and a lot of faith. I went through emergency surgery, months of being bedridden, and later a serious accident that affected both my husband and me.
There were moments we had to pause services, but quitting was never an option. Those challenges didn’t stop the mission, they sharpened it.”
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At its core, TransforMEtion Journey is a wellness-driven culinary and education business rooted in real transformation. We specialize in helping people improve their health through intentional food choices, daily movement, and practical education, without sacrificing flavor, culture, or community.
What we’re most known for is our ability to bridge health and food in a way that feels accessible and authentic. From our 100 Day Workout Challenges that began during the pandemic to our fresh meal prep, cooking classes, catering, and community food service, everything we do is centered on sustainability rather than quick fixes. Our food, especially our Birria Tacos, Chicken Street Tacos, Quesadillas, and six-hour slow-cooked consommé, has become a signature of the brand. What sets it apart is that it’s made in the healthiest manner possible using only fresh ingredients. Nothing we serve is canned, frozen, or jarred, and that standard is non-negotiable.
What we are most proud of is that this business was built from lived experience. TransforMEtion Journey started as Coach V’s own personal health transformation, shared publicly as a hashtag long before it became a company. When women began reaching out for guidance, Co-founder, Nathaniel Williams and Coach V’s mother Veronica Hodges told Valencia she needed to make what she was doing into a business. She decided to responded, first through coaching, then through structured programs, and eventually through food and education. The business officially launched during the pandemic, but the mission was already in motion long before that moment.
What truly sets TransforMEtion Journey apart is purpose. They didn’t build this business around trends or convenience. They built it around integrity, patience, and community impact. That’s why they invest six hours into a single consommé, why they prioritize education alongside service, and why their long-term vision extends beyond profit. Their ultimate goal is to expand access, to provide nutritional cooking lessons and healthy meals to elderly and underserved individuals who cannot afford traditional services.
Nathaniel Williams said, “TransforMEtion Journey is not just about what we sell; it’s about what we stand for”. Every program, plate, and partnership is designed to help people heal, learn, and feel supported on their own journey, because transformation is never just physical, and it should never be out of reach.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
What surprises people most about TransforMEtion Journey isn’t the food, the coaching, or even the scale of the vision.
It’s that the business was never built to be a business first.
Founder Valencia “Coach V” Williams didn’t set out to open a company. She set out to survive.
Her journey began with a personal health wake-up call that forced her to confront her relationship with food, her body, and her future.
She started documenting her changes publicly, not as branding, not as strategy, but as accountability. The name TransforMEtion Journey wasn’t brainstormed in a boardroom. It was a hashtag. A real-time record of choosing herself, one day at a time.
What most people don’t realize is that TransforMEtion Journey was built backwards.
Coaching came before cuisine. Community came before capital. Integrity came before expansion.
