Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Ignar.
Hi Mario , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Mario,
I am a Polish guitar player from Chicago, Illinois.
I was born and raised in Logan Square, then I moved to the northern suburbs in 1996. I graduated from Fenton high school in 2001. I graduated from college in 2016 earning an Associates Degree in arts. I started playing the guitar when I was 15 years old, now I’m 42 years old and they still play!
In my youth, I was in a heavy metal band called Warpath, along with other bands that I was in Death By Hate, Solace, Ghost Citizen,Juniper Sun.
My influences for MUSIC have always been bands like Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pantera, Tool, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Johnny Cash, Elvis.
I started my own Bike repair company in 2019 and I am the owner still today.!
My life revolves around family, God and anything guitar related!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were many struggles along the way, lots of ups and downs. So many of my friends have passed away. It was really hard to move on without them. Also had some problems with substance abuse during my early years.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Everyone knows that I’m a musician. I’ve been playing the guitar for over 24 years. I still play today but mostly online. I do it for fun and I’m gonna keep doing it.
My lifelong goal has always been to make it big in the music industry. Unfortunately, the people that I hung out with, were not on the same page.
But my goal is still the same today
My goal is to get my videos out there for people out in the world to enjoy my content
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My mom, my dad and my brother my sister and my friends have all been my mentors and I’ve carried me through all through the years. These people have all supported me. I’ would be nowhere without them.
