Rising Stars: Meet Hajar Shahin of Southlake

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hajar Shahin.

Hi Hajar, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Hajar Shahin, and I was born in Jordan. From a young age, I learned that beauty is not about fixing flaws, but about nurturing confidence. Watching my mother value self-care and inner strength inspired me early on, but the path I chose — and the work I’ve built — became deeply personal. I wanted to create a space where people feel seen, safe, and genuinely cared for.

I built my aesthetics business from nothing. No backing, no shortcuts, and no guarantees. Just faith, discipline, and an unshakable belief in myself. Every certification, every long day, and every quiet sacrifice was made with one goal in mind: to become someone people could trust with their face, their confidence, and their vulnerability. Trust isn’t given — it’s earned — and I earned it one client at a time.

My approach to aesthetics is intentional and deeply human. I don’t believe in overdoing or changing who someone is. I believe in enhancing what already makes them beautiful. Through facial balancing, Botox, dermal fillers,, PRP/PRF easy gel, microneedling, mesotherapy, lip blushing, filler dissolving, fat dissolving, weight loss and PDO threads, I focus on harmony, proportion, and natural results. Every treatment plan is customized, because every face carries a different story.

What matters most to me is how my clients feel when they leave my chair — confident, refreshed, and still completely themselves. Many come to me feeling unsure or self-conscious, and watching that shift happen is why I do what I do. This work is about more than aesthetics; it’s about empowerment.

As my practice grew, so did my purpose. I now train aspiring injectors, teaching safe, ethical, and advanced techniques with the same care I give my clients. I believe knowledge should be shared, and success should create space for others to rise.

From Jordan to building my name from the ground up, my journey has taught me that starting from zero is not a weakness — it is a strength.

Every client who trusts me, every face I treat, and every life I touch is a reminder that beauty, when done with integrity and heart, has the power to change how we show up in the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. It was far from a smooth road.

There were moments of deep uncertainty — building from zero meant financial pressure, long hours, and carrying everything on my own shoulders. I faced self-doubt, exhaustion, and the fear that comes with choosing an unconventional path without guarantees. There were times when I invested in myself before I saw any return, times when I questioned if I was doing enough, and times when I had to stay disciplined while the results were still invisible.

I also had to earn trust in an industry where credibility matters deeply. Every client, every result, and every decision carried weight. I learned quickly that integrity, patience, and consistency matter more than speed or hype. Growth didn’t happen overnight — it happened quietly, through repetition, resilience, and showing up even when it was uncomfortable.

But those struggles shaped my work ethic and my values. They taught me how to lead with intention, how to protect my standards, and how to stay grounded in my purpose. Looking back, the challenges weren’t setbacks — they were the foundation.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an advanced aesthetic injector and educator, and the work I do is rooted in precision, restraint, and intention. I specialize in facial balancing, Botox, and dermal fillers, with a strong focus on natural, harmonious results that enhance someone’s features without changing who they are. I’m also well known for my Russian lip technique — creating structured, lifted lips that still look soft, proportional, and elegant, never overdone.

Beyond injectables, I offer advanced treatments including PRP/PRF EZ Gel, microneedling and mesotherapy, lip blushing, PDO threads, filler dissolving, fat dissolving, and medical weight-loss support. What ties all of my services together is customization. No two faces — or goals — are the same, so every treatment plan is carefully tailored to the individual sitting in my chair.

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built. Many of my clients come to me feeling hesitant, nervous, or unsure, and they leave feeling confident, refreshed, and still completely themselves. That transformation — not just physically, but emotionally — is what means the most to me. I’m also incredibly proud of the injector training I provide. Teaching safe, ethical, and advanced techniques and watching others grow into confident, skilled providers is deeply fulfilling.

What sets me apart is my approach. I don’t chase trends or extremes. I prioritize safety, anatomy, education, and integrity. I take my time, I listen, and I treat every face with the same care I would want for my own. This isn’t transactional work for me — it’s personal. Every client, every result, and every student reflects my name, my values, and the standard I hold myself to.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes — and it’s advice I wish I had truly understood early on.

First, don’t rush the process. Mastery takes time, and in this industry especially, patience and consistency will always outperform shortcuts. Focus on building strong fundamentals, understanding anatomy deeply, and prioritizing safety over speed or trends. Results compound quietly — even when it feels like nothing is happening.

Second, trust takes longer to build than skill. You can be talented, certified, and motivated, but credibility is earned one client, one result, and one decision at a time. Protect your reputation fiercely. Say no when something doesn’t align with your standards, even if it costs you in the moment.

Third, invest in yourself before you feel “ready.” There will never be a perfect time. Education, mentorship, and hands-on experience are worth every sacrifice — even when the return isn’t immediate. The confidence you build through preparation will carry you through the hard seasons.

I also wish I knew that comparison is a distraction. Everyone’s journey looks different, and social media often shows the highlight reel, not the discipline, fear, or setbacks behind the scenes. Stay focused on your own lane and your own growth.

Lastly, remember why you started. This work is about people, not procedures. When you lead with integrity, empathy, and intention, the right clients, opportunities, and growth will follow. Starting from zero is not a disadvantage — it’s where discipline, resilience, and real confidence are built.
