Daily Inspiration: Meet Jennifer Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Davis.

Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Pull the Line: Reclaiming Vitality, Together

As an operating room nurse, I’ve spent years listening to women in some of their most vulnerable moments. I hear how they talk about their bodies, their pain, and their expectations for aging. Too often, those expectations are low.

One moment changed everything for me.

A patient my age slowly moved onto the operating room table and said, “Oh my, everything hurts, but what should I expect? I’m 50.”

My spirit sank.

Fifty is not a finish line. It is not a guarantee of pain or limitation. At any age, vitality is possible, but only if we believe it is and are willing to do the work. From what I’ve seen, that work is far more powerful when done in community.

That belief inspired Pull the Line.

Pull the Line is a vibrant community of women dedicated to pushing boundaries, fostering growth, and embracing progress. Our platform isn’t about toeing the line or settling for expectations, it’s about pulling it. Going beyond limits. Daring greatly. Igniting the fire within.

Each month, I lead a women’s cycling ride around White Rock Lake, partnering with Christina, owner of Pull Through Coffee Bar, who generously offers our riders a special discount on ride days. What began as a simple ride has grown into something much more meaningful.

Every gathering is an opportunity to connect, build relationships, and encourage one another’s personal goals on and off the bike. It has been exciting to watch the community grow each month, fueled by encouragement, movement, and shared purpose.

There is something uniquely powerful about the cycling community. Women from different backgrounds and cultures come together and find connection through the joy of the ride. Titles fade away. What remains is strength, laughter, and belonging.

I’ve also had the opportunity to lead other women’s rides in my community, and the pattern is always the same: women discovering their power within groups of encouraging, inspiring women. Confidence grows. Mindsets shift. Limits are challenged.

How exciting is that?

Here’s my invitation to you: Join us as we continue on this exhilarating journey called life. Let’s lift each other up, inspire greatness, and pull the line together. Because when women move forward side by side, there truly is no limit to what we can achieve.

Check out my website (www.pulltheline.com) with weekly blog (The Weekly Pull) for weekly inspiration. When you’re ready to ride, find me on Instagram (pulltheline27) for any details.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s important to admit. Getting started was one of the biggest struggles, and some challenges still exist today. If it weren’t for strong, encouraging friends who believed in me, I’m not sure Pull the Line would have ever come to life.

I have a creative mind, but I’m also an over-thinker. I was incredibly excited about the concept and all the possibilities for the platform, yet when I started thinking through the steps to make it real, I froze. Even something as simple as setting up a website felt overwhelming. I’m not a computer guru, and I still struggle with using social media to its fullest potential.

The truth is, I don’t love being on my phone or behind a computer. I value being present; building relationships, spending time outdoors, and connecting face-to-face. While social media is necessary to share the message, I approach it intentionally and minimally, doing just enough to get the word out while protecting my sanity.

The struggles have taught me that growth doesn’t require perfection. It requires courage, support, and a willingness to move forward even when it feels uncomfortable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love being a registered nurse in the operating room, especially in orthopedic surgery. It’s incredibly rewarding to help patients who come in with broken bones or years of joint pain regain mobility and return to the activities they love.

I’m especially proud that I pursued this career after raising my four children. I cherished my years as a stay-at-home mom, and returning to college felt like a natural extension of my desire to care for others. Nursing has been a meaningful next chapter, and one that reminds me it’s never too late to grow, learn, and step into a new purpose.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My biggest supporters have been my best friends, Jennifer Polk and Kerri Fishencord. Both are inspiring entrepreneurs and have been by my side for years. They helped me work through my doubts and struggles, constantly reminding me that progress matters more than perfection and that I didn’t need all the pieces in place to get started. Trusting that everything would come together over time made all the difference.

My husband, an avid cyclist, has also been instrumental throughout the journey. From guiding me through computer challenges to making sure I had the best cycling equipment and taking care of all my bike needs, his support has been unwavering. He truly is the best bike boy.
