Inspiring Conversations with Perla Montoya of Monarca Emprendimiento y Talleres LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Perla Montoya.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been in the nursing/healthcare industry for 27 years and after the pandemic what started as a hobby turned into opening my own med spa business in the Rio Grande Valley. Since I have family in the Dallas area, I began traveling to offer concierge services to family and their friends, where I started to be known. During these travel times, I came to realize that the hispanic community was underserved for trainings in their own language in areas like body contouring, lymphatic drainage, wood therapy and mesotherapy. This is when I decided to open Monarca Emprendimiento y Tallares LLC, also known as Monarca Workshops and give training courses both in English and Spanish language.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been rough, but as anything else not smooth either. My experience has helped me establish myself as trustworthy and getting people to enroll in the courses when they are open has not been difficult. I think the only struggle has been accomodating the right time for course while still operating my medspa business in the valley.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Monarca Emprendimiento y Talleres LLC ?
Monarca specializes in giving bilingual training courses (English/Spanish) available to the Hispanic community. These courses include body contouring, post-op lymphatic drainage, wood therapy and mesotherapy. What set us apart is that we bring in live models for hands-on practice to give students the feel of what a real service would look like.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Monarca offers training courses that also include equipment in their packages. This helps students get back home and start planning the opening of their small business. We also help our students if assistance in needed on how to open their own company and licensing.
