Exploring Life & Business with Cal Quigley IV of Quantum Prosperus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cal Quigley IV.

Hi Cal, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Stop 6, a Fort Worth neighborhood that represented everything Black families hoped for in America—safety, opportunity, and a chance for their children to thrive. But the crack epidemic of the late 80s and 90s turned our vibrant streets into a war zone. Drugs and guns infiltrated the neighborhood, and overnight, the sounds of kids playing football gave way to the crack of gunfire from drive-by shootings.

This reality lit a fire in me to get out as soon as possible—not to abandon my community, but to avoid getting caught up in the activities that were consuming it. Not long after graduating high school, I joined the United States Air Force, where I excelled quickly and fell in love with the idea of building abroad.

One of the most transformative experiences came in my early 20s when I was stationed at an Air base in South Korea. The immersive experience of learning the language, exploring the land, and immersing myself in Korean culture gave me a confidence and global perspective that has served as a pillar for my success decades later. It was there that I truly understood that the world was much bigger than Stop 6, and that I could thrive anywhere. The invaluable leadership training I received in the Air Force, combined with the opportunity to travel all over the world, opened my mind to the infinite possibilities that my talent, aptitude, and faith in God could provide.

After serving my country, I began down the rewarding road of entrepreneurship and started my first major company. After a few successful years, I shifted gears again and embarked on a journey of re-educating myself in the field of international business, with aspirations of running a global enterprise. After completing both a master’s and doctoral degree, my wife and I now not only run a global financial firm geared toward helping middle-class families build generational wealth, but I also have the honor of teaching at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. One of the top business schools in the world.

I continue to rewrite—or better yet, add to—my story. I believe that if I still have breath in my lungs, I should be learning something new and helping someone reach the next level of their success. My mantra is simple: “Learn as though I was to live forever but live as though I was to die tomorrow.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not always been smooth. I write extensively about my past experiences in my book, Stand on the Shoulders of Giants, which became a number one bestseller on Amazon in 2025. Growing up in an environment full of traps for young black men gave me a sense of confidence: if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

The encouragement I’d like to give people is that we all have our “something.” Your something might be that your dad wasn’t around. Her something might be that she was overlooked by her community. But it’s not about who had it worst or whose story is the saddest—it’s about resilience. It’s about the ability to block out all the negativity and make lemonade out of lemons.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
QP, as we’re affectionately known in the community, is really a special brand. The name Quantum Prosperus came from our principle of taking what one has and maximizing it to grow and prosper in ALL things – a quantum leap for increase.

QP is known for creating generational wealth for families who weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Our Legacy Wealth Academy is a self-paced program that helps everyday Americans learn the foundation of finances, create three types of stock portfolios, and gain the skills to trade options confidently in the stock market.

What I’m most proud of is that we’ve democratized access to the stock market. We’ve taken knowledge that was once held by Wall Street elites and brought it to the laptops and iPads of middle-class families in Fort Worth, Dallas, and beyond. We have clients from all walks of life, and we’ve been able to help them gain financial knowledge and change the trajectory of their families forever.

If you’ve ever wanted to understand how stocks, crypto, and the market actually work, I encourage your readers to check out our program. You can join for free at QPWealthHub.com.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If I had any advice for someone just starting out, it would be to expose yourself to things that are different from what you’re accustomed to. I often put myself in situations where I’m forced to stretch beyond my comfort zone and expand my understanding. Don’t just rely on what you already know—challenge yourself with new experiences and perspectives.

I would also encourage your readers to develop genuine relationships with people rather than just doing business at a transactional level. Some of my most valuable partnerships started as authentic connections. You never know what lifelong friendships or game-changing opportunities might emerge when you approach business with openness and authenticity.
