Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Darby Rasheta.
Tara is an accomplished model and television host currently residing in Dallas, Texas. With an exceptional career spanning over two decades, Tara has modeled for Guess, Jessica Simpson, True Religion, Speedo, Manhattan Beachwear, Patagonia, Echo Design, Axe, Oakley to name a few.
In 2009, Tara took her passion for molding the next generation of models to new heights by co-creating Model Makers Group, a talent-consulting firm. Along with her best friend and fellow model, Cristina Nardozzi Buehrer, they dynamic duo assist models, actors and tv hosts nationwide with agency placement, talent development and professional printing services.
Tara owes most of her success to the opportunities afforded to her while serving as Miss Alabama USA 2004 and placing as a Top Ten Finalist at Miss USA. During this time she had the opportunity to appear on the show Fear Faction. When she won Fear Factor: Special Miss USA Edition and made a financial contribution to the National Breast Cancer Coalition with her prize earnings, she would never have dreamed that she would someday face the disease herself.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2017. It forced me to cease modeling while I focus on recovery, but I am thrilled that I have been able to continue my consulting work with Model Makers Group. My Dallas community has been so incredibly supportive and generous to me during this time and I look forward to paying it forward.
In the fall we will be co-hosting a charity event called XII Visages Du Cancer | The Twelve Faces of Cancer. The evening will consist of an art show presented by Radz D. Photography. FashionPreneur, Leah Frazier, will be the Emcee for the soiree. There will also be a live acoustic set by musician Dana Harper, a local vocalist and contestant from NBC’s The Voice. The silent auction will feature luxury items. Proceeds from the event will benefit Young Survival Coalition.

Through Model Makers Group, Tara and Cristina assist aspiring and working models, actors and tv hosts nationwide with agency placement, talent development and printing services. They have both been modeling professionally for over 20 years each. Modeling has been a dream job and it has allowed them to travel the world.
