Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelaiah Conway.
Hi Kelaiah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a stay at home mom to 5 beautiful babies that I homeschool. I feel like as women we wear so many different hats and don’t always do a great job of pausing and realizing how incredible we are and how hard what we do is. I started sharing more of my life online to be an encouragement to other moms and women. I want to remind them to find beauty in the simple things and celebrate themselves for all the hard work that they do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Creating content is really fun for me but can also be time consuming. But it’s something that brings me joy and a tool I use to uplift others so making time for it is important to me. It’s also really cute when my kids see me editing, or recording a video and they tell me I’m doing a good job. I love that they get to see me pursuing something I enjoy even when it gets difficult.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Out of all the content I make I’m most proud of the videos that just show me and my family doing life. No performance, no worry about how we’re going to be perceived, just enjoying who we are and hoping it’s a little bit of inspiration from someone else to be who they are. I think that’s what sets me apart from other content creators today. What I choose to share isn’t loud and flashy or trying to make people think a certain way about me, but it’s the truth! And the truth can be so hard to find online sometimes.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned throughout this journey of growing online is to be consistent no matter what and be true to who I am. I think those are lessons anyone can apply to anything in their life. If you’re gonna show up fro anything do it 100% and never change who you are to appease someone.
