Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Rice.
Hi Nicholas, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Nick’s Right Podcast started with a simple but intentional idea:
put two Nicks in a room—one an old Millennial and the other Gen X—and let them argue about culture, politics, and everything in between.
The goal wasn’t to manufacture outrage or talking points, but to highlight how two different generations can look at the same issues through completely different lenses. Those early conversations were raw, funny, sometimes heated, and always honest—and that chemistry became the foundation of the show.
As the podcast grew, so did the scope. What began as generational debate naturally expanded into deeper conversations around faith, masculinity, accountability, pop culture, filmmaking, and personal testimony. The generational contrast remained, but the podcast evolved into something more reflective—less about “winning” arguments and more about challenging ideas and telling real stories.
Today, Nick’s Right Podcast is built on authenticity. It’s a space where serious topics can be discussed without pretending they’re simple, where humor balances hard truths, and where listeners hear conversations they recognize from real life—but rarely hear in public.
At its core, it’s still two guys with different perspectives having honest conversations—just with a much bigger purpose and a wider audience now.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
Building Nick’s Right Podcast has taken a lot of hard work, patience, and persistence—but it’s been worth every bit of the effort. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating social media, especially TikTok. Censorship, shifting guidelines, and unpredictable reach have made it difficult at times to get content in front of the right audience, even when the conversations are thoughtful and respectful.
Another ongoing challenge has been booking quality guests. Finding people who are both interesting and willing to speak openly—without watering down their views—takes time and relationship-building. It’s not as simple as just filling a seat; the goal has always been meaningful conversations, not just names.
Consistency has also been a real test. Between production, promotion, scheduling, and real life, staying disciplined and showing up week after week requires intentional effort. There are no shortcuts, especially when you’re building something organically.
That said, every obstacle has helped sharpen the vision. The challenges forced the podcast to improve, adapt, and stay rooted in its purpose. It hasn’t been easy—but it’s absolutely been worth it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At my core, I’m a podcast host and content creator, but my work extends across podcasting, film, writing, and entrepreneurship.
I host Nick’s Right Podcast, where we focus on honest conversations around culture, faith, politics, and personal accountability. The show has grown organically, and I’m proud that our Nick’s Right Podcast Instagram account recently hit 135,000 followers—a reflection of real engagement and a loyal audience.
I’m also a film producer, actor, and writer. We have a major project releasing next year called 4:26, a supernatural thriller based on a true story, where storytelling, faith, and suspense intersect in a powerful way. Alongside film, writing has been a major outlet for me as well. I’ve published three books—Beyond Sight, The Journey of a 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Dare to Compare—all of which explore themes of faith, identity, self-reflection, and personal growth.
In addition, I’m an entrepreneur, building creative and media-based ventures that connect storytelling with digital platforms. What sets me apart is that I don’t separate my faith from my work. I’m not chasing trends or algorithms—I’m building with intention.
Above all else, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ. My faith is the foundation behind everything I do—how I create, how I lead, and how I engage with others. What I’m most proud of isn’t just growth or numbers, but staying authentic, consistent, and grounded while creating work that stands for truth in a culture that often avoids it.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
For me, it all starts and ends with the Bible.
Every day, I read Scripture. That’s my foundation. That’s where I get clarity, direction, correction, and encouragement. The Bible shapes how I think, how I lead, how I create, how I handle pressure, and how I treat people.
My relationship with Jesus is the core resource in my life.
Before business decisions.
Before creative projects.
Before podcast episodes.
Before hard conversations.
I pray.
I read.
I listen.
Verses like Philippians 4:13 remind me that my strength doesn’t come from me. Proverbs teaches wisdom in leadership and integrity. The Gospels remind me how Jesus handled conflict, criticism, and crowds — and that directly applies to work and life.
I don’t rely on productivity hacks first.
I rely on time with Jesus first.
Everything else flows from that.
So while there are a lot of great tools out there, the most important “resource” that helps me do my best in life — at work and otherwise — is reading the Bible daily and walking closely with Christ.
