Hi Brichard , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into real estate really started with a desire to build something meaningful. I did not grow up in the industry or inherit a development company. I learned by being hands on, asking questions, making mistakes, and figuring out the process step by step. I became deeply interested in how vacant land and older homes could be transformed into something that truly serves families and strengthens neighborhoods.
In 2018, I founded Caliber Community Group LLC with a clear vision to be part of improving housing opportunities in Dallas, especially in areas that are often overlooked. From day one, I stayed involved in every part of the process. I worked through planning, budgeting, construction management, and coordination with trades because I wanted to fully understand how projects come together and ensure every job met a high standard.
Over time, that commitment led to multiple successful new construction homes and full renovations across Dallas. Each project was more than just a finished house. It represented growth, learning, and the chance to contribute something positive to the community. It also helped me build relationships, credibility, and confidence in the work we were doing.
Today, I serve as a licensed general contractor and lead Caliber Community Group with a focus on quality, consistency, and long term impact. I am continuing to grow into development while staying grounded in the construction side of the business. The journey has not always been easy, but every challenge has shaped how I operate today. What keeps me going is knowing that the homes we help bring to life represent opportunity, stability, and progress for families and neighborhoods throughout Dallas.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like most people building something from the ground up, the journey has come with its share of challenges.
One of the biggest struggles has been navigating the industry without a built-in network or a clear blueprint to follow. There were times when access to funding, reliable resources, or even just the right information felt limited. I had to learn through experience, which meant figuring things out in real time while still trying to deliver quality work.
Another challenge has been balancing growth with consistency. Construction and real estate are both industries where timing, costs, and unexpected issues can change quickly. Managing projects while maintaining standards and building credibility takes discipline and patience.
There were also moments of doubt along the way, especially early on when progress felt slow. But those struggles helped shape how I operate today. They taught me resilience, attention to detail, and the importance of building strong relationships.
Looking back, I can honestly say the road has not been smooth, but every challenge played a role in strengthening the foundation of both my business and my mindset.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a licensed general contractor and the founder of Caliber Community Group LLC. My work centers around residential construction, new builds, and full home renovations across Dallas. I focus on taking projects from concept to completion and making sure the process is done with care, structure, and accountability.
I specialize in hands-on project execution. I stay closely involved in planning, budgeting, trade coordination, and overall construction management. My goal is always to ensure the finished product is something that is not only well built but also adds value to the neighborhood it sits in.
Over time, I have become known for being detail oriented and consistent. I care about how things are done, not just that they get done. I believe quality should be standard, not optional, and I approach each project with that mindset.
What I am most proud of is the body of work we have completed so far and the impact it has had. Seeing homes go from empty lots or outdated structures to finished spaces that families can truly live in is something that never loses its meaning. I am also proud of the fact that the company has grown steadily while maintaining strong standards and staying rooted in purpose.
What sets me apart is the level of involvement and intention I bring to each project. I do not operate from a distance. I stay engaged throughout the process and focus on doing things the right way, even when it takes more time or effort. I am also intentional about the areas we work in and the long term value our projects bring to those communities.
For me, the work is not just about construction. It is about contributing something positive that lasts.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is watching my grandmother and grandfather work on my great grandparents’ house in Oak Cliff on Galloway Street off of Ewing. They would fuss at each other the entire time while working, but at the end of the day, they were always so proud of what they had accomplished together.
I watched them completely remodel that house by hand themselves. Seeing the transformation happen piece by piece, and watching how much pride they took in doing the work on their own, really stayed with me. Looking back, I realize that was one of my first introductions to what it means to build something with care, patience, and dedication.
