Today we’d like to introduce you to Savanna Vasquez.
Hi Savanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business because of my sister’s encouragement and my brother’s inspiration. While I was in college earning my associate’s degree, as a mom of three, my sister handed me her camera and asked me to take a few headshots of her. That moment changed everything.Watching my brother buy his first camera ten years ago planted a seed, and with my husband and family constantly supporting me, I began to believe I could truly build something of my own.
Today, I’m a mom of four and a Dallas Wedding Photographer, something I set my heart on a few years ago. It took dedication, risk, and a lot of sleepless nights, but I built this from the ground up. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more excited to keep growing and documenting beautiful love stories for years to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been only a smooth road. I’ve doubted myself and considered all of my outcomes with putting my all into this, and it’s only gotten better after any quiet periods. I was dedicated through and through, and still am. One of my biggest challenges was learning how to market myself so my clients could actually find me. Confidence was a huge learning curve too, it took time to truly believe in myself like everyone around me does. Booking my first wedding felt like stepping into something bigger, and when the inquiries kept coming, I knew this wasn’t just a dream anymore, it was becoming real.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a wedding photographer based in Dallas, specializing in romantic, timeless imagery with an editorial feel. I focus on documenting weddings in a way that feels elevated but still genuine, capturing both the refined details and the in-between moments that make the day emotional and real.
I’m known for creating images that feel soft, intentional, and story-driven. My couples often say they feel comfortable and fully themselves in front of my camera, which is something I’m incredibly proud of. I don’t just show up to take photos, I guide, direct when needed, and create space for natural moments to unfold.
What sets me apart is the heart behind what I do. I built this business from the ground up while raising four kids, and that perspective shapes how I approach weddings. I understand how meaningful these milestones are. I’m deeply invested, detail oriented, and intentional about delivering an experience that feels personal, not transactional.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, to me, is impact. It’s knowing the work I create will live far beyond the wedding day. That the images I capture will be passed down, framed in homes, and revisited for decades. It’s not just about booking weddings, it’s about being trusted with once-in-a-lifetime moments and delivering them in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.
Success is building a reputation for consistency, heart, and quality. If my couples feel seen, cared for, and genuinely proud of their photos, that’s success to me.
