Conversations with Del Boyer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Del Boyer.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Snowy Churro Texas was built from a simple idea: take a classic favorite and make it unforgettable.

What started as a vision to bring something unique and high-quality to Texas events quickly turned into a passion-driven business rooted in community, service, and consistency. We saw an opportunity to take the traditional churro — already loved by so many — and elevate it into something exciting, customizable, and perfect for school lunches, festivals, corporate events, and private parties.

In the early days, it was all hands on deck. From figuring out the logistics of running a mobile food business, to navigating event coordination and high-volume service, to perfecting our menu and presentation, every step helped shape who we are today.

What truly fueled our growth was our focus on three things:

Quality product: Fresh, hot churros served quickly and consistently
Smooth, professional service: Especially for schools and large-scale events
Strong communication: Making event organizers’ lives easier

Word spread quickly. After successful school lunches and community events, we began building lasting relationships with districts, administrators, and event planners who appreciated our reliability and seamless setup. We learned how to serve high volumes efficiently while keeping lines moving and customers happy — something that sets us apart.

Today, The Snowy Churro Texas is proud to be a trusted vendor across North Texas. We’ve grown into a well-organized operation that schools and event hosts can confidently count on. We show up grateful, prepared, and ready to serve every single time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey hasn’t always been easy, and in many ways, it still challenges us. However, we view each day as an opportunity to grow, improve, and learn from the experiences of the day before.

One of the greatest challenges early on was mastering the operational side of the business behind the scenes. Navigating city, county, and state permitting requirements, along with fire safety standards and public health regulations, required significant time, research, and persistence. While it wasn’t the most visible part of the business, it was one of the most important.

Once we developed a solid understanding of these requirements, the path forward became clearer and more efficient. That said, the landscape is constantly evolving. Regulations and compliance standards change regularly, and we remain committed to staying informed, adapting accordingly, and ensuring we meet or exceed all current requirements.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The Snowy Churro Texas is a gourmet churro-focused food truck and mobile dessert caterer based in Fort Worth, Texas. We bring freshly made sweet treats to events and local spots throughout the North Texas area.

Our core specialty is freshly made churros, a beloved fried dough dessert that’s crispy on the outside and soft inside. We elevate the classic churro with multiple unique sugar flavors and toppings, tailored to customer tastes and special occasions. In addition to churros, our menu often includes dessert variations like combo cups (churros paired with ice cream or sauces), edible cookie dough, floats, and sundaes.

What we’re Known For:

Delicious, fresh-made churros! many people praise their texture and flavor variety. A fun, family-friendly dessert option that works well at fairs, markets, and community events.

Our food truck is frequently booked for special events, such as school functions, teacher appreciation events, and private gatherings, where our desserts add a festive touch.

What We’re Most Proud Of:

Bringing joy through classic and creative churro experiences, turning a simple treat into something memorable for customers of all ages.

Being a family-run business. Our team includes the owner and often family members helping out, which reinforces their community-oriented and friendly approach.

Supporting local schools and groups: We offer partnership opportunities where a portion of sales goes back to school organizations or booster clubs.

What Sets Us It Apart:

I believe several things distinguish The Snowy Churro Texas from typical dessert vendors:

We focus on churros as a specialty rather than just one dessert item among many, and we build our menu and brand around the churro.

Customization and variety, offering various sugar coatings and potential custom flavors for events.

Mobile food truck experience that brings freshly prepared desserts directly to events and communities, making it more than just a place to buy food, it’s an experience.
