Life & Work with Sandi Lewis of North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandi Lewis.

Hi Sandi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Mississippi and earned my Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology before relocating to Dallas in 2000. For 23 years, I worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in leading medical centers across DFW and throughout the United States. My career was rooted in precision, science, and service;— I was trained to look through a microscope and find answers.

After COVID, like many in healthcare, I experienced a deep level of burnout. It wasn’t just physical exhaustion; it became a moment of reflection and questioning. Realizing I needed space to reset, I booked a trip to Italy.

While there, I had a chance meeting with a woman who introduced me to the HALO (Home and Lifestyle Option) from Magneceutical Health. What began as curiosity quickly became recognition. It felt like a bridge between the scientific foundation I had built over two decades and a more expansive understanding of the body and the field surrounding it.

That experience changed the trajectory of my life and ultimately led me to create Halo Bay, where I now help people regulate their nervous systems, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover the innate capacity we all have to restore and heal.
My work is simply about helping people slow down long enough to reconnect with the wisdom their bodies have carried all along.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Leaving a 23-year career in the clinical laboratory wasn’t just a professional shift — it was an identity shift. I had spent decades in a structured, evidence-based medical environment where my training was rooted in precision and measurable outcomes. Stepping into something new required me to reconcile the scientist in me with a part of myself that was expanding beyond what I had previously defined as possible.

There was uncertainty and there were moments of doubt. Transitioning from a stable healthcare career into entrepreneurship brought both financial and emotional risk, along with the very real internal question: “Am I really doing this?” Another challenge was helping others understand the pivot. When you’ve built credibility in one field, stepping into something innovative can sometimes be misunderstood. Over time, though, I realized I wasn’t abandoning science — I was building on it.

Learning to trust that process required patience and courage. There were moments when the path unfolded before I fully understood where it would lead, but each challenge refined my vision and strengthened my commitment to the work. The journey stretched me, deepened my compassion, and helped me better understand what it feels like to stand in uncertainty while searching for restoration.

Growth rarely feels smooth while you’re inside it, but looking back, every step was necessary. In many ways, the road itself became the preparation for Halo Bay.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
After years of working inside the traditional medical system, I witnessed both its brilliance and its limitations. We are exceptional at diagnosing and managing disease, but many people today are living with chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and burnout that medicine isn’t always designed to address.

At Halo Bay, my work focuses on helping the body return to balance through the HALO. This non-invasive, FDA-registered Class I medical device uses extremely low-level electromagnetic frequencies to promote deep relaxation and support regulation of the autonomic nervous system.

What sets my work apart is that I approach this from both science and lived experience. My background as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist trained me to understand physiology, data, and systems — while also recognizing that the body is electrical, magnetic, and deeply responsive to its environment. Over the past two years, I’ve traveled extensively, bringing the HALO to communities across California, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, working alongside health, wellness, and mental health professionals seeking more integrative ways to support nervous system regulation and recovery.

Through personalized sessions, I help clients create the conditions where the nervous system can stabilize, allowing clarity, resilience, and restoration to emerge naturally. What began as personal discovery has evolved into helping professionals and communities rethink what true restoration can look like.

During this time, I’ve worked with more than 80 specialized protocols supporting musculoskeletal and neurological wellness while carefully observing and documenting meaningful physical, mental, and emotional improvements in my clients.

I’m most proud of creating a space where science and restoration meet — where people feel safe enough for their bodies to finally rest and reset. My larger vision is that healthcare evolves beyond symptom management toward system-wide restoration, with coherence becoming a new standard of wellness.

“Science taught me how the body works; life taught me how deeply it longs to heal when given the right environment.”

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Halo Bay is the result of many people whose belief, wisdom, and generosity helped shape both my journey and the vision itself. My soul sisters, close friends, and family have been constant pillars of encouragement, supporting me in trusting the process and stepping forward even when the path wasn’t fully clear. Their belief in me gave me the confidence to bring this work into the world.
I’m also profoundly grateful to Dr. Jerry Jacobson, whose groundbreaking work and invention of the HALO established the scientific foundation that makes this work possible today. I’m equally thankful for his daughter, Faith Jacobson, who generously shared her knowledge of the system during my time in Italy and helped deepen my understanding of its potential.
I’m also eternally grateful for my spiritual teacher and mentor, Laura Ahern, whose guidance helped me understand that healing extends beyond physical science. She taught me that our health is deeply connected to how we experience life emotionally and energetically. When we learn to trust our bodies and allow space for rest and regulation, the nervous system resets and the body remembers its natural ability to heal. That perspective has become a foundational principle of my work and the heart of Halo Bay.
