Exploring Life & Business with Ayana Rollins of IT Solutions by Ayana LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayana Rollins.

Hi Ayana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been taking things apart since I could hold a screwdriver. I was that kid who wanted to know what was inside every toy, and by 4th grade I was already glued to a computer trying to figure out how it all worked.
Starting IT Solutions by Ayana came from seeing how many people were getting left behind or stressed out by technology. I wanted to create a space where people could get real help without feeling judged, rushed, or talked over.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges was earning people’s trust. A lot of folks have had bad experiences with tech support, so I had to show them that I’m different — patient, transparent, and here to actually help.
Another struggle was simply being a one‑woman operation. I’m the technician, the scheduler, the marketer, the everything. It taught me resilience, but it also taught me how to build systems, stay organized, and keep showing up even when the road isn’t easy.

As you know, we’re big fans of IT Solutions by Ayana LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
IT Solutions by Ayana is all about making technology feel human again. I support everyday users, families, youth groups, and small business owners who just want their devices, accounts, and digital lives to work without the stress or confusion.
I’m known for patient, judgment‑free tech support — whether I’m fixing everyday issues, organizing someone’s digital world, or teaching them the skills they need to feel confident and independent. People come to me because I break things down in a way that actually makes sense, and I create a space where no one feels embarrassed to ask questions.
What sets my brand apart is the experience — warm, clear, and rooted in trust. I don’t rush people. I don’t talk over them. I meet them exactly where they are, whether they’re 8, 18, or 80.
A big part of my work now includes supporting small businesses. I partner with entrepreneurs, start‑ups, and growing teams who need reliable, judgment‑free tech help — everything from getting their systems organized to setting up devices, accounts, and workflows that actually make their day‑to‑day easier. I love helping business owners feel more in control of their tech instead of overwhelmed by it.
I’m proud that my brand stands for accessibility, clarity, and real human connection. My services are built for real life: device help, account setup, digital organization, online safety, AI basics, and tech training for all ages. Whether someone needs a quick fix or long‑term support, I’m here to make technology feel less intimidating and a lot more empowering.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think risk is a part of anything worth building. For me, risk hasn’t always looked like big dramatic leaps — sometimes it’s the quiet decisions that change everything. Starting my business was definitely one of those moments. I walked away from the comfort of predictable work because I knew there were people who needed patient, real‑world tech support, and no one was showing up for them in the way I wanted to.
There’s also a different kind of risk in doing things your own way. In tech, people expect a certain tone — fast, transactional, very ‘figure it out yourself.’ I chose the opposite. I built a brand around warmth, clarity, and human connection. That meant trusting that there were people who valued that approach, even when it didn’t look like the typical tech‑support model.
Every time I introduce a new service — like my youth workshops or my small‑business support — it’s a risk too. You’re putting your name on something new and hoping it resonates. But I’ve learned that the biggest growth always comes from the moments where I bet on myself.
So I don’t think of myself as a wild risk‑taker, but I do believe in intentional risk — the kind that aligns with your values and pushes you toward the work you’re meant to do.
