Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Moreno.
Hi Wendy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I must begin with saying that my business is not only rooted in faith, but more than that, it is faith-forward. There is no story to tell here without God. It is also not just Eden Matcha, but Eden Creative House – a matcha cart and a creative agency, offering a wide range of services. This includes branding, graphic design, websites, social media, creative direction, and more.
Now here is how it started…
After quitting my corporate job last spring, I felt a deep desire to live a life fully centered around Christ, including my career. I had experienced life without the Lord, and it left me feeling empty, broken, and unsettled.
But in 2025, I was radically changed, and surrendering my career felt like the right response.
So I spent many days in the prayer room at Upperroom in May of 2025. During this time, the Lord gifted me a vision of a creative agency established on the foundation of His Love, the strongest anchor there is. He gave me the name, the logo, and the meaning behind it.
God created the soil of the Garden of Eden as the source of life from which man was formed. In this likeness, Eden Creative House is here to breathe life into the dreams He plants within His children.
We’ll actually be launching Eden Creative House on social media at the end of this month along with our website.
While dreaming up the agency, I had also grown a deep love for matcha and for gathering people. I was constantly making matcha for my friends. I’ve always loved matcha, and I’ve always loved community.
Over time, I realized creativity doesn’t only belong online. It belongs in real spaces. So Eden Matcha became an extension of the same heart, offering fully brandable, high-end experiences. It was also what was launched first, in August 2025.
Now the two sustain each other. We meet founders through the cart who need creative direction and branding. And we partner with creative clients who later want experiential activations.
Both are rooted in faith, community, and dreaming without limits.
We believe we were created by the Creator to create. So whether we’re building a brand or serving matcha, we approach it with the same intention — to build something that grows.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road.
When we launched Eden Matcha, we originally wanted to offer matcha and plants. But operating from a mobile cart made it difficult to move and care for plants well, so we paused that part of the vision. Our goal is to open a physical shop within the next two years and bring that back.
Profitability has also required refinement. Because we care deeply about community, we’ve intentionally kept our matcha under eight dollars, which isn’t common for carts in Dallas. That meant it took time to become profitable. We adjusted by limiting paid-by-guest events and focusing more on fully hosted experiences where the event is covered by the client.
The same learning curve happened in our creative agency. I’ve had to learn the balance between sowing generously and stewarding strategically. There are seasons to give, and seasons to build sustainably.
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been led by faith. I trust the One who gave the vision, and I’ve learned a lot through the process.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At our core, we build brands and experiences that feel alive.
Through Eden Creative House, we specialize in branding, creative direction, web design, and marketing strategy. We help businesses move from idea to identity. We are known for building brands that feel intentional and cohesive, and everything is designed with growth in mind.
Through Eden Matcha, we create fully brandable, high-end matcha experiences for events, campuses, corporations, and community gatherings. So rather than just being a cart, it is an immersive extension of a brand, offering custom menus to branded cups to the overall aesthetic.
What sets us apart is that these two worlds work together.
We’re known for being thoughtful, caring deeply, and making things feel elevated while also accessible, warm, and welcoming.
What I’m most proud of is the way people feel when they work with us. We want our clients to feel empowered and to know they have support. Sometimes a founder has a vision no one else fully sees yet. Sometimes the dream isn’t even clear to them. We step in to help refine and define it, and to bring it to life.
We aren’t afraid of failure. We’re willing to experiment, adjust, and keep building until it feels right. I want our clients to genuinely love what we create together.
We don’t approach our work as projects to complete, but rather build relationships. We care about the people we work with, and we care about their dreams just as much as they do.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Starting Eden itself has been the greatest risk I’ve taken. I graduated with a marketing degree from NYU Stern and was comfortable at my corporate job as a Senior Marketing Associate. Leaving the corporate world behind was a scary thing to do, and stepping into this season felt uncertain. It required financial risk, reputation risk, emotional risk… the list goes on. There’s no guarantee when you launch something new, especially something that blends creative services with a matcha cart. It doesn’t fit into a clean category.
But I’ve learned that risk and faith are closely connected. I’ve had to trust God in new ways, developing a faith not just in my ability to build, but in His ability to sustain what He called me to create.
I once heard that if you knew it would take 100 attempts to succeed, you’d want to get through the first 99 failures quickly. I think about that often, and it keeps me going. I’ll continue to take risks, and I’ll continue to learn. It won’t always look perfect, but nothing meaningful is ever built that way.
