Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahyashah Ha Mahtarza.
Hi Ahyashah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As far as I can remember, I have always taken an interest in the female reproductive system and in how a baby is formed in these organs. But on the flip side, I did not have an interest in working in a westernized hospital setting because I grew up around holistic centered care.
I started studying the female anatomy and physiology as early as eight years old. I realized that I retained knowledge very well and continued my studies through my adolescent teen years.
I took a small detour into the modelling industry where my former agency looked to send me to Paris, France to possibly sign with the brand Chanel, but respectfully, that industry was not my calling because it was too superficial. I am a woman of wit and have a higher preference in flaunting my knowledge.
Now, I never put my studies down, I began to broaden my practice perspective and categorized my abilities. I attained credentials in ante, intra and postpartum doula AND midwifery care, small surgery circumcision, introductive naturopathy, which is holistic centered care recognized in technical terminology along with paperwork and also attained my credentials as a fertility and birth partitioner.
Continuing my pursuit in the very thing that I was delighted in, even from my youth, is how I achieved my goal in operating and managing my birthing practice.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A smooth road is for rookies, I would say. 🙂
Absolutely not, no, it has not been a smooth road. I have stepped on pebbles, in brooks and on stones with my bare feet, but continued in what I knew was my calling and in the very thing that brought me delight.
I have found that when pursuing the greater things in life, things that you desire greatly that’ll bring more meaning to your existence, many experiences in the form of afflictions began to pursue you also.
You can either give up because the weight has become a burdensome load on your back or wait for that Godly grace to kick in and assist in lifting that very load to allow you to keep moving forward.
Timing was and is my main challenge along with the reconstruction of self. I cannot change or control time but if you pay close enough attention, you find that time is also the thing that is needed in the positive reconstructing of self. Therefore, timing and the reconstructing of self during life’s experiences, have been my greatest challenges.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I operate a birthing practice. My birthing practice is named My Ancient Birthing to commemorate my love for my God and also to embody and recognize ancient birthing practices. I am also an activist for the fair treatment of minorities; therefore, my practice serves as a pillar in supporting this paradigm.
I am an ante, intra and postpartum doula AND midwife, a fertility and birth practitioner through DONA and I specialize in small surgical circumcision(s).
Though I have a strong belief in the fair treatment of minorities, I operate my practice based on facts and logic, not on emotional, elongated delusions. My ability to understand different perspectives and perceptions, helps me to stand apart in operating my practice.
I am most proud in my ability of educating my clients. I like to educate my clients enough for them to be confident in their ability to make educated decisions without being coerced.
My brand offers the capability of listening to understand the root of a prospective client’s desires and fears, and the capable ability to execute the desired outcome. Through My Ancient Birthing, I offer ante, intra and postpartum doula and midwifery care, maternal fitness, breastfeeding coaching and small surgical circumcision for male infants. My Ancient Birthing offers holistic centered care with the help of international partnerships. And I am able to travel locally and internationally.
