Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in a small town(Tallulah, LA.). My first job was at 14 through the J.P.T.A. Program (summer job). My senior year of high school, I worked an afterschool job with the court reporter. After graduation, I attended community college for nursing and shortly after I was with child; married by 19 and divorced with three children by 30. At this point in life, I made an informed decision that I wanted more for myself and children. I decided to enroll in online college because I was working two jobs at this time. I knew, prayed and hoped that obtaining my degrees would afford us a better way of life. Fast forward, I decided to start my online business-DrKeesConsultationandCoachingServices, while writing books.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Philippians 4:6-Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Reading my Bible and keeping God’s word first and foremost has and still is my fortitude. Some struggles faced was having to move back home a couple of times with my parents; job instability, which brings financial insecurity; trying to remain positive while working two jobs, attending college and being a single parent.

DrKeesConsultationandCoachingServices are designed to help clients navigate personal and professional challenges, enhance skills, and achieve life goals. Services are inclusive of life, career, and relationship coaching as well as educational consultation for school/college selection. What sets my business apart from others is a thought-based approach, which nurtures the spirit, help navigate personal challenges, and afford the client an opportunity to hone their skills and mindset to choose a route for their individual life goals. I cater to each one of my client’s personal needs in order to unlock their full potential. My clients pay based on a sliding scale and what’s affordable within their budget. I am most proud of being afforded the opportunity to start my own business and helping others with life, career, relationship coaching and educational consultation.

Something surprising that most people who know me or my work /brand might not know is that I enjoy baking cakes, cookies, pies, and homemade treats like rice crispy treats, brownies, divinity candy and pecan candy..
