Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Lemons.
Hi Aaron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My wife and I spent over 45 years in the restaurant industry, working for tips and learning early on that every dollar someone spends is a choice. When you live in a world where your income depends on how you treat people, you learn to see customers differently.
That perspective never left us.
In roofing, the conversation usually stays around the work, price, materials, and insurance claims. Those things matter, but we believe the human side of the work matters just as much. The person hiring you isn’t just another job – it’s someone trusting you with something they worked hard for.
We try to run our business with that in mind every day!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building trust in an industry where homeowners are often cautious, and honestly, they have every reason to be. Roofing can be very competitive, especially in Texas, and there are large companies with huge marketing budgets, as well as contractors who are willing to cut corners or promise things they shouldn’t — like waiving deductibles or rushing through jobs just to get the next one.
Early on, we had to decide what kind of company we wanted to be. We knew we weren’t going to compete by being the loudest or the biggest. We chose to grow slower, keep it personal, and focus on doing things the right way, even when that meant losing jobs to companies who made it sound easier or cheaper.
There were definitely moments in the beginning when we questioned if we were doing the right thing, especially taking the risk of starting our own business and going up against companies with far more resources. But every time a homeowner told us they felt comfortable with us, or that they trusted us, it reminded us why we started.
Those challenges shaped the way we run our company today. We’ve learned that trust takes longer to build, but it lasts longer too — and that’s the kind of business we want to have.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What we do is residential roofing, repairs, exterior work, and home improvements, but what we really specialize in is helping homeowners understand their options and make decisions they feel comfortable with. In our industry, a lot of people just want a quick answer or a quick sale. We’ve built our business around slowing that process down, explaining things clearly, and making sure the homeowner feels confident before anything starts.
We’re known for being very hands-on. When someone calls us, they’re talking directly to the owners, not a sales team or a call center. We stay involved from the first inspection to the final walkthrough, and I think people can feel the difference when they know the person they met at the beginning is still there at the end.
I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built. Many of our jobs come from referrals, repeat customers, or people who met us through the community, and that means more to us than any advertisement ever could. We’ve never wanted to be the biggest company — we’ve wanted to be the one people feel comfortable calling.
What sets us apart is that we treat every project like it belongs to someone we know. It’s not just about getting the work done, it’s about making sure the person on the other side feels respected, informed, and taken care of.
Our services include residential roof repairs and replacements, gutter installation, fence work, concrete work, pergolas and outdoor living spaces, permanent LED lighting, and interior renovations.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
One thing I always like to share with homeowners is that preventative maintenance makes a huge difference, especially with roofs. Most people don’t realize that small issues like exposed nails, loose flashing, or minor sealant cracks can turn into expensive repairs if they go unchecked. We always recommend a simple roof tune-up or inspection every so often, just like you would service your car or HVAC, to catch problems early and extend the life of the roof.
