Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Rose.
Hi Emily, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am originally from Orange County, CA. I grew up with an older sister also in the beauty industry in LA and always loved when I was able to spend time in the salon and see all of these fabulous people bonding with strangers and building relationships with them while simultaneously making them feel so beautiful by the time they left. There is something about how you can walk into the salon with whatever weight you’re carrying from home life and take the time in the salon to have a break from carrying that weight for atleast a little bit. When you’re a client in the chair, you get to just be that… It’s our job as your hairstylist to work through what you’re wanting for yourself and your hair and you get to sit back and enjoy the process and hopefully leave feeling at least a little bit better (if not like a whole new woman).
My husband and I moved out to TX in 2021 ready to plant some roots and I feel so blessed that we decided on Fort Worth because it has been such a welcoming city both personally and professionally. I am surrounded by the most diverse women that I get to work with who support you and challenge you in the best ways. My chair is filled with such a fun clientele. Whether it’s one of my sweet TCU and SMU girls, to my healthcare workers, and my stay at home moms sitting in my chair, I get to fill my days with endless stories from different walks of life and such different life experiences.
If you want my about me :
I’m Emily, a blonding and Invisible Bead Extension specialist originally from Orange County and now proudly serving women across DFW. My passion for healthy, beautiful hair began with my own experience of severely over-processed color. I know firsthand how the condition of your hair can impact your confidence, how you show up, and how you feel every single day.
Because of that, healthy hair is my non-negotiable. Every service I offer is rooted in preserving the integrity of your hair while helping you achieve seamless, natural-looking results that elevate your beauty.
With nearly a decade behind the chair, I specialize in creating radiant, healthy blondes and customized hand-tied extension transformations. When you sit in my chair, you will receive my full attention, one-on-one care, and an expertly guided plan designed to take your current hair to the hair you’ve always dreamed of without compromising its health.
What I love most about this industry is the connections built along the way: the supportive salon community, the relationships with amazing clients, and the constant growth that comes from ongoing education. Outside the salon, you can usually find me with my husband and son, reading with my pup curled at my side, or enjoying slow, intentional moments with my family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a fairly smooth road with some bumps along the way for sure. I started my career in Newport Beach, CA at a beautiful salon filled with amazing hairstylists that were such boss women it was incredibly motivating as a new stylist. I had been in the industry for 3 years when COVID hit and California went into lockdown. What started as a 2 week lockdown ended up being on and off 8 months of not being allowed to be in salon/ operate at a normal capacity which severely affected income as well as initiated a small identity crisis within myself and figuring out who I was outside of my career because up until that point.. all of my value I placed upon myself was who I was as a hairstylist and how “successful” I could be behind the chair. Not being allowed to work really put life into perspective for me.
When I move to TX, I originally started working in Dallas and built a full book of clientele before starting a family and moving my business to Fort Worth to be closer to home and have an easier commute. It can be challenging rebuilding your books but it is so rewarding and fun when you find your people who are meant to be in your chair and getting to share your days with them.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is that this industry gets resaturated with professionals whose focus is not only to make women feel beautiful when they leave the salon but to also build them up from the inside out. There are a lot of talented people in our industry who do beautiful hair but I think what sets stylists apart are the ones who lift people up at the same time. You can put wallpaper up in a home but if the foundation is crumbling… then what really is the wallpaper there for?
