Hidden Gems: Meet Sergio Ballesteros of Domi Agency by Epique Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sergio Ballesteros.

Hi Sergio, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has always been defined by a bridge between two worlds: business strategy and cutting-edge technology. It began with a solid foundation in Business Administration and Management Information Systems, starting my career as an Application Developer. This technical ‘DNA’ allowed me to see the world through the lens of efficiency, eventually leading me to earn my MBA and manage global automation projects for large-scale organizations.

In recent years, I’ve taken a deliberate and strategic pivot to further my education in emerging technologies. I am now deeply focused on the strategic application of Artificial Intelligence, specifically helping businesses automate their workflows to achieve unprecedented levels of productivity. I am currently in the process of launching a dedicated project designed to consult and empower companies to integrate AI agents into their daily operations, transforming how they handle data and client interactions.

This passion for innovation naturally flowed into my work in real estate. I realized the industry was ripe for a digital transformation. Today, as an Area Leader at Epique Realty and National Director for the Domi Agency Power Team, I lead by a ‘servant’s heart,’ focusing on nurturing high-performance teams. I also founded NextGen Realty Group, which specializes in representing international investors through our partnership with HomeAbroad.

Whether I am mentoring a new agent or developing a custom AI-driven workflow for a business, my goal remains the same: to stay relentlessly curious about how technology can improve the human experience. I am excited to continue bridging the gap between traditional business and the future of automation right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t describe my journey as a series of struggles, but rather as a continuous, rewarding process of learning through active listening. My philosophy is rooted in being a ‘servant with a living heart.’ I’ve found that the true driver of success isn’t just a process or a product—it’s the rapport and relationships you build with your employees, co-workers, and clients.

After immersing myself in the day-to-day operations of various departments and companies, I’ve learned that by putting the needs of others first and truly absorbing their perspectives, I can find the most effective solutions. For me, it is about establishing a road with strategic intent; when you lead with empathy and a focus on service, the ‘obstacles’ naturally transform into collaborative breakthroughs.

We’ve been impressed with Domi Agency by Epique Realty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I partnered with Epique Realty two years ago because I was deeply drawn to their modern, tech-forward approach and a company culture defined by humility. This alignment led me to participate in their leadership program, as I am passionate about mentoring and supporting agents here in our local community. Epique is agent-centric and currently offers over 100 benefits to their 5,000 agents nationwide and I am glad to be part of it.

As a Director of Domi Agency we have successfully expanded our mentorship and training programs to agents across several states nationwide. This national growth, combined with my work through NextGen Realty Group, has allowed me to create a truly comprehensive service hub. Through our partnership with HomeAbroad, NextGen Realty Group specializes in providing expert assistance for international investors looking to navigate the U.S. market.

This unique synergy allows me to serve as a one-stop resource—not just for real estate agents seeking growth, but also for international investors and residential clients here in Texas and every state where we currently operate. My current focus is on continuing this expansion, bridging the gap between local expertise and global investment opportunities and by providing strategic and automatic solutions to businesses to automate their workflow.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If I could offer advice to those beginning their journey, it would be built on three pillars: Continuous Self-Development, Consistency, and Relationships. In the world of business—especially in Real Estate and the service sector—we often forget that we are in the business of human connections, not just transactions. Success is driven by the rapport you build. To truly excel, you must look beyond the surface and identify the client’s true motivation. Why do they really want to move, sell, or improve their business? Once you find that ‘why,’ you can establish a genuine connection and provide a meaningful solution.

For those starting out, my advice is to never stop evolving. Stay competitive by staying curious: listen to podcasts, read extensively, get out of the house, and network relentlessly. Most importantly, never stay ‘tuned out.’ Success is a process, not a destination, so you must maintain the inner drive to learn something new every single day. If you are consistent in your growth and selfless in your service, the results will follow.
