Meet Brittany Thomas of Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Thomas.

Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I always felt that God had placed a calling on my life. There was a growing hunger that I had for God that couldn’t be explained. Unfortunately, as a teenager, I had no one close to my age who could teach me what that hunger was. Oftentimes, I felt like Samuel without an Eli in the Bible. The desire to have a big sister was very crucial for me as a teenager. Fast forward to summer 2022, God placed a burden to create Daughters of Eden to become that Eli to teenage girls. Now this is a growing ministry for all teenage girls to grow deeper in Christ. Daughters of Eden is a teen girls’ ministry that builds the next generation of daughters. We were commissioned in 2023 to teach and disciple the gospel of Jesus Christ. We pour into teen girls in grades 6th through 12th. This is a safe place for teenage girls to grow into their God-given identity, gifts, and purpose. We have regular bible studies in various places around Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as countless hangouts around the area! Our bible study teachings focus on developing a pure foundation and biblical principles. This is a ministry that allows for Christian community and personal growth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, God has given me grace to build Daughters of Eden uniquely. This ministry allows teenage girls to experience Christ outside of a church setting. We don’t encounter struggles that can’t be worked out with consulting wise counsel or prayer.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Outside of Daughters of Eden, Brittany is also a special education teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University. She is also a current graduate student at the University of North Texas pursuing a M.S. in Family Policy and Program Administration. Additionally, I am the owner of God’s Notebook Publishing Co. and the founder of God’s Notebook on various social media platforms. What makes me set apart from others is not comparing myself to others’ personal walks. I believe that the plans God has for me are solely for me to accomplish.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can support Daughters of Eden by connecting those who will benefit from this ministry. You can also follow us on social media or subscribe to our email list.
