Daily Inspiration: Meet Nancy Corrales

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Corrales.

Nancy , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Beauty has always been my passion for as long as I can remember. I used to sneak into my mom’s room as a child just to play with her makeup when she wasn’t home. I’ve always been drawn to anything beauty related.

After graduating high school, I originally planned to go into cosmetology, but I became a mom at 19. At that time, I felt I needed something more stable and immediate financially, so I shifted into the nursing field and worked in it for a few years. Even though I learned a lot, I realized it wasn’t where my heart truly was.

I still had a strong passion for the beauty industry, but as a single mom, going back to school full-time didn’t feel realistic. Around that time, brows started becoming a big trend, and I instantly became interested in it. I began searching for weekend programs that would allow me to keep working while still pursuing my passion. I ended up traveling from Beaver, Oklahoma all the way to McAllen, Texas to attend classes at Brow Innovation. After completing my training, I started my business and named it Panhandle Browz, inspired by the Oklahoma Panhandle where I lived.

I began working out of a salon suite and doing brows on weekends while still maintaining my job, and I did that for about two years. Eventually, I made the decision to expand and take my business to the next level. I moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where I had to start completely from scratch—no clientele, no connections, just my skill and determination.

I focused heavily on consistency, posting my work daily, passing out business cards, and advertising wherever I could. Slowly, I began building a new clientele. Word of mouth started spreading, and my business began to grow more than I ever expected.

Today, I’m grateful for how far I’ve come—from turning a childhood passion into a real business, overcoming setbacks, relocating states, and rebuilding everything from the ground up. I’m proud of my growth, my consistency, and the journey that brought me here, and I’m still growing every day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has come with a lot of challenges, especially having to balance motherhood and building a career at the same time. Becoming a mom at a young age forced me to make decisions based on stability rather than passion, which led me into a field I eventually realized wasn’t for me.

One of the biggest struggles was stepping away from nursing and starting over in the beauty industry. Even after getting trained in brows, I still had to work while building my business on the side, which meant long hours, sacrifices, and very little free time.

Another major challenge was relocating from Oklahoma to Texas. I left behind everything I had built—my clientele, my comfort zone, and my local support system—to move to a new state where I didn’t know anyone. Starting from zero in Fort Worth was honestly one of the hardest parts. I had to rebuild my name, my reputation, and my client base completely from scratch.

There were times where growth felt slow, and I questioned if starting over was the right decision. But I stayed consistent—posting daily, marketing myself everywhere I could, and trusting that my work would speak for itself. Over time, those small efforts started to turn into real momentum.

Even though the journey has been difficult, every struggle helped shape me, build my confidence, and grow my business into what it is today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in permanent makeup, with a focus on powder brows/ombré brows. My work is centered around enhancing natural beauty in a soft, customized way that fits each client’s facial structure, skin type, and personal style. I also offer brow services that help clients feel more confident and put together without having to rely on makeup every day.

What I’m most known for is my attention to detail and my ability to create soft, natural-looking healed results. I really take my time with each client to make sure the shape, symmetry, and pigment choice are tailored specifically to them. My goal is never a “one style fits all” brow—it’s always about enhancing what they already have.

What I’m most proud of is building my business from the ground up, especially after relocating to a new state and starting over with no clientele. Every client I have today was earned through consistency, trust, and word of mouth. Knowing that people not only come to me but also recommend me to others means everything to me.

What sets me apart is my journey and my work ethic. I didn’t have an easy start or an instant client base—I built everything through persistence, marketing myself daily, and staying consistent even when growth was slow. I also genuinely care about my clients’ experience, not just the service itself. I want them to feel comfortable, heard, and confident throughout the entire process, from consultation to healed results.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
For myself, my long-term goal is to have a large, established storefront in Dallas with suites available for rent. I want to create a space where other beauty professionals can grow their own businesses under one roof while still having independence. I see it becoming more of a beauty hub—where clients can come for multiple services and artists can build their careers in a supportive, professional environment.
