Community Highlights: Meet RYNDI Burnett of Ryndi’s Rainbow Academy

Today we’d like to introduce you to RYNDI Burnett.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into early childhood education began with a genuine love for working with young children and a desire to make a lasting impact during their most formative years. With over 15 years of experience in both preschool and elementary education, I became a certified teacher and later obtained my director’s license, which gave me a strong foundation in both instruction and leadership.

I started Ryndi’s Rainbow Academy as a way to bridge what I saw as a gap in early childhood education—creating a program that not only nurtures children, but intentionally supports their academic growth through emergent literacy and mathematics, while also focusing on social-emotional development and a faith-based foundation. What began as a vision has grown into a licensed in-home childcare program that provides a structured, preschool environment with small group instruction, a research-based curriculum, and meaningful learning experiences.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the challenges I’ve faced are ones many childcare providers and entrepreneurs understand—especially in the beginning. There were moments when filling enrollment felt uncertain, and figuring out how to market my program was overwhelming. But I stayed grounded in my purpose, and over time, the quality of my program began to speak for itself. With the encouragement and support of my family and friends, doors started to open.

Looking back, I can truly say the journey has been guided. Even in the uncertain moments, I felt a sense of peace knowing this path was one God called me to walk. And when you align yourself with His purpose, things begin to fall into place in ways you can’t always explain. With faith at the center, I know that all things are possible—and that has carried me every step of the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ryndi’s Rainbow Academy?
Ryndi’s Rainbow Academy is a licensed in-home childcare program designed to feel like a private preschool experience for young children. We serve children ages 18 months to 5 years old and specialize in building strong academic foundations through emergent literacy and mathematics, while also nurturing social-emotional development in a faith-centered environment.

What truly sets us apart is our intentional approach. As a certified educator and director, I’ve created a program that blends research-based curriculum with small group instruction, allowing each child to receive individualized support based on their unique learning style. We’re known for providing structure, consistency, and meaningful learning experiences—while still preserving the warmth, love, and personal connection of a home environment.

Our families appreciate that we go beyond traditional childcare. From healthy meals and engaging hands-on activities to monthly field trips and a strong focus on school readiness, everything we do is designed with purpose. Our goal is not only to prepare children for kindergarten, but to equip them with the tools and confidence to carry their learning throughout their entire academic journey.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the environment we’ve built—one that truly reflects our belief that “we are a rainbow of possibilities.” Every child who walks through our doors is seen, valued, and supported. We’ve created a space where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn, and where families feel confident in the quality of care and education their child is receiving.

At the heart of Ryndi’s Rainbow Academy is a commitment to excellence, faith, and intentional growth. I want readers to know that this is more than childcare—it’s a foundation for lifelong learning.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What truly makes me happy is watching children grow—seeing the moment something “clicks” for them, whether it’s recognizing a letter, solving a problem, or simply learning how to express their feelings. Those small, everyday moments are so meaningful to me because they represent confidence being built and a foundation being formed.

I’m also deeply fulfilled knowing that I’m creating a safe, loving environment where children feel seen and supported. There’s a different kind of joy that comes from knowing families trust me with something so important, and that I’m able to pour into their children in a way that will stay with them for years to come.

At the core of it all, my happiness comes from walking in my purpose. Knowing that this is the path God has called me to gives me peace, even on challenging days. It reminds me that the work I’m doing matters—and that I’m making a difference, one child at a time.
