Community Highlights: Meet Eder Enciso of E49 Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eder Enciso.

Hi Eder, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a child born and raised in Mexico City with extremely supportive and kind parents, I grew up with many opportunities to practice different things. From sports like soccer and track to arts, drawing, and design, my parents always allowed me to enjoy different activities. I was always taken to different places—museums, parks—and that freedom allowed me to discover my love for drawing cartoons and playing soccer.

During my developing years, I focused on these two main disciplines: design and football soccer. I was always training, and any time I had free time, I would draw and sell my drawings to other kids—even during school, which got me in trouble a couple of times. But my teachers would tell my parents they felt bad taking my drawings since they were so good. (chuckle)

During my teenage years, my aunt helped me get my first job editing books and preparing them for the press. This was my first introduction to production-ready design. Then my dad bought me a screen printing press, and with the help of my cousin, I learned to create positives for printing on shirts. I started creating my own designs using what I had learned at the editorial firm and began selling custom shirts for my friends and their bands.

Then I formally pursued a graphic design career at the best university in Latin America, the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), of which I’m a proud alumnus. I learned all the principles that would later propel me and prepare my way to specialize in brand identity development.

While studying, I had the blessing of working in places that helped me polish my taste and allowed me to see how designers would arrive at solutions—basically to see the creative process unfold.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life comes easily, especially the worthwhile things. Yet I’ve learned that when something is meant to be, it flows naturally, and when it’s not, no amount of force can make it happen. I’ve weathered slow months, hiring disappointments, difficult terminations, challenging clients, and technical setbacks. But the highs have been equally profound.

I think of clients who first encountered my work when I was charging $100 per logo, like the JM Junk Removers one, designed for a family member’s business—only to return years later with trust in me worth thousands of dollars for complete brand transformations. The faith people place in others to solve their problems and improve their businesses never ceases to amaze me.

These peaks and valleys are our teachers. Like any garden, life will always have weeds—but we must tend to them. If we allow negativity to take root, it will overtake everything we’ve cultivated. I’m convinced that life itself is a privilege to learn from. The cost of experience is paid through gratitude, endurance, and remembrance.

As you know, we’re big fans of E49 Creative. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
E49 Creative is a brand transformation studio specialized in helping established local businesses obtain and develop strategic brand identities that help them connect better with the right audience, sell more, and positively impact their communities.

We’re known to help businesses look more established. Normally, those who work with us are moving from a DIY-branding phase or the classic “I hired a freelancer to design my logo, but it’s not enough anymore” stage to becoming established businesses that want to elevate the way they present themselves in the marketplace.

What sets us apart from other similar design and branding studios is our specialization in local businesses and our approach to strategic design. This means, in simple terms, that we don’t design to decorate or make things look pretty—we drive design decisions through business strategy and marketing understanding.

Our services are perfect for anyone who wants to leverage their presentation and position in the market to serve better and create business equity that lasts.

What matters most to you?
The E49 Creative Manifesto

At E49 Creative, we believe a brand is more than a logo — it’s the perception, trust, and emotional connection your business carries into every interaction.

We exist to help established businesses evolve with purpose, aligning who they are today with the brand they project to the world.

We serve the builders.

The leaders who’ve put in the years, grown something real, and are ready to step into their next chapter.
You’ve outgrown the brand you started with. Now it’s time for one that reflects your expertise, ambition, and value.

Every element, from strategy to visuals, is intentional. No fluff. No filler. No design for design’s sake.

We put strategy first.

Design without strategy is decoration. We dig deep to understand your market, your audience, and your goals, so every creative decision moves your business forward.
