Today we’d like to introduce you to Kailtin Wise.
Hi Kailtin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Jackson, my husband and our bartender, started bartending weddings on the side a few years ago. He’s very social and found that he enjoys it so much that it doesn’t even feel like work to him.
Also, when we got married in October 2024, I planned our entire wedding myself and really enjoyed it, as I’m a super creative, type-A individual.
We both decided that starting a mobile bartending/mixology business would be an enjoyable outlet for both of us. We also loved the thought of being able to play a small, but hopefully impactful part in making others’ big day as amazing as possible.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest obstacle for us was the time and money it took to get started. Obviously, I expected it to take time and cost money, but I never expected it to turn out like it did. I think if I would’ve known going into it, I probably would’ve chickened out. But I’m so happy we didn’t. We’ve learned a lot about the ins and outs of running a business, and a lot about each other along the way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Like mentioned previously, I’m a huge creative. I love using our business as an outlet to create. Whether that’s through social media posts, putting together client gifts, or making cute bar menus for clients.
I think our creativity also shines through in the thoughtfulness behind our name. Our differentiator is the option for customized ice cubes, hence the name “Branded Banter.”
I’m also really proud of our website. It was really awesome to see something I envisioned in my head come to life. My favorite part is the video on the homepage – thanks to our friend Nick Casucci at StoryCraft Productions.
What are your plans for the future?
As a fairly new business, I’m really looking forward to seeing how much we grow and the impact we make in our community. This is a passion project for us, so we put less pressure on making money and more on making sure we’re doing our best to make our clients’ celebrations the absolute best they can be.
It’s also exciting to think about all the connections we’ve made and will continue to make through this business. We’ve met so many amazing people!
