Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney DeForest.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Six years ago, I re-entered the beauty industry with a clear vision: to create a space where women could feel confident, cared for, and genuinely valued. What started as a passion quickly became a business built on hard work, consistency, and an obsession with delivering an experience that goes beyond the service itself. From the beginning, I committed myself to growing—not only in skill, but in the way I connected with clients and built lasting relationships. I’ve been so fortunate to receive encouragement from other talented women in the industry, who have inspired me to think bigger, stay motivated, and continue evolving into the business owner I am today.
While building my business, I became a mother twice, learning to balance entrepreneurship, family, and personal growth. Through every stage, my husband has been my biggest supporter—constantly encouraging me, believing in my vision, and standing behind every goal I’ve pursued. His support gave me the confidence to continue expanding, taking risks, and building a business I’m truly proud of. Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come over the last six years. Every long day, every loyal client, and every milestone has helped shape a business rooted in trust, connection, and quality. What once felt like a dream has become a reality through dedication, a lot of hard work, and the people who believed in me along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges throughout my journey has been navigating growth while maintaining the level of quality and client experience I hold myself to. As my business expanded, I had to develop skills outside of the treatment room—leadership, and communication. Balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood also pushed me to become more disciplined, adaptable, and focused on building something sustainable long-term.
Another challenge has been learning to step confidently into what I know is next for me. I have left meaningful places and people to do what is best for my business and family. That is TOUGH, especially when you care for people. Those experiences taught me the importance of clear communication, strong boundaries, and creating a business environment built on respect and professionalism. Those challenges helped shape both the business owner and mentor I am today. I am so thankful for the personal growth that has come from those experiences.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about CourtneyLeigh Esthetics?
For the past six years, I’ve built my business around enhancing natural beauty while creating a personalized experience for every client who walks through my door. Specializing in brows, lash lifts, and cosmetic tattoos, my approach is centered on soft, timeless results that help clients feel confident in their everyday lives. Every service is customized to the individual, with a strong focus on detail and maintaining the integrity of each client’s natural features.
What sets my brand apart is the experience behind the service. I’ve created a space where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and genuinely connected—not just another appointment on the schedule. I believe this is the bread and butter of the beauty industry. My goal has always been to combine high-end results with a welcoming, relationship-driven environment. What I’m most proud of is the loyal community built through genuine relationship and connection, paired with consistently excellent results.
My team member, Kellie, recently joined CourtneyLeigh Esthetics and has brought immense value with her holistic Facial Sculpting Massage. She specializes in this treatment and is incredibly gifted at it! In addition to Facial Sculpting, she offers brow and lash services.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was SHY. But I always connected with girls on beauty. I have loved the beauty industry since I can remember. I used to go with my mom when she got her nails done. I loved makeup, Sephora samples, and fashion magazines. Truly I wanted to play with all things beauty and stay home with my mom!
