Conversations with Sandra Barona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Barona.

Hi Sandra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Sipp’n Pretti Lemonade started as a passion rooted in my childhood. Growing up in Houston, we had several lemon trees in our backyard, and every summer we’d make fresh lemonade—it was a staple in our home and something I’ve always carried with me. When I moved to Dallas, I wanted to bring that same feeling back, but in a way that felt fun, feminine, and elevated.
My first event was actually at a friend’s garage sale, and from there I slowly worked my way into pop-up events, learning everything as I went. There was a lot of trial and error in the beginning, but each experience helped me grow—not just as a business owner, but in building confidence in my brand. Along the way, I realized people weren’t just connecting with the lemonade, but the entire experience from the flavors to the pink aesthetic and the energy behind it.
As I continued showing up, Sipp’n Pretti began to grow into something recognizable. I’ve been able to connect with so many people, travel for events, and create moments that go beyond just serving a drink. Seeing people enjoy something that started as such a personal memory has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.
Today, I’m continuing to expand Sipp’n Pretti Lemonade through larger events, new opportunities like catering, and constantly finding ways to elevate the experience, while staying true to the roots that started it all.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s honestly been a pretty smooth road, but like any growing business, there have been moments of challenges along the way. One of the biggest things has been since I moved to Dallas I didn’t have the extra hands to help but I was truly blessed with a supportive family who are willing to travel from Houston to support me at every event, which means everything to me! As the business continues to grow, my goal is to build a team so we can expand and make things run even more smoothly.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Lead Accountant at a water streaming company. Growing up I always wanted to do accounting and own my own business someday. I am know for my art skills. I enjoy painting in my free time and try to bring my creativity into my business as much as I can.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the most important quality to my success is my strong work ethic and self-motivation. I’m very self-sufficient and have a business mindset, so when I set a goal, I stay focused and persistent until I achieve it. I’m also creative which helps me find solutions to difficult challenges.
