Rising Stars: Meet Diane Cervantes of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane Cervantes.

Hi Diane, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I wouldn’t say my story is about having everything figured out, t’s more about figuring it out while still moving.
I’m a single mom, I work night shifts, and I’m in school for my MBA while also working toward becoming a perfusionist. On top of that, l’ve built a space for myself in fashion and fitness, putting together outfits, creating content, and even working with brands like Nike. None of it was planned out perfectly, it’s just what I kept showing up for.
There are a lot of moving parts in my life, and balancing all of it isn’t always clean. I’ve had to learn how to function when I’m tired, how to stay consistent even when I don’t feel motivated, and how to keep going without waiting for the “right time.”
Losing my sister is a big part of why I chose the healthcare path l’m on. That experience gave me clarity on what I want to do long-term, but it also changed how I approach life in general. I don’t take time or opportunities lightly.
I genuinely enjoy learning, and l’ve realized I don’t want to limit myself to just one thing. My life right now is busy, but it reflects everything | care about-being a good mom, building a career, and still making space for the things that make me feel like myself.
I’m not doing all of this because it’s easy, i’m doing it because I decided l’m capable of it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges for me has been learning how to balance everything at once.
Being a single mom, working night shifts, and being in school means there isn’t a perfect routine, so l’ve had to build discipline and stay consistent even when I’m exhausted or overwhelmed.
Another major challenge has been navigating personal loss.
Losing my sister changed a lot for me, and I had to learn how to process that while still showing up for my responsibilities.
That experience pushed me to grow emotionally and shift how I approach my goals and opportunities.
I’ve also had to work through self-doubt at times, especially while trying to grow in multiple areas at once. Learning how to trust myself and keep moving forward without everything being fully figured out has been a challenge, but also something that’s helped me grow the most.
Overall, the challenges l’ve faced have taught me resilience, discipline, and how to keep going even when things aren’t easy.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve built a space for myself in fashion and content creation through styling, putting together outfits, and creating lifestyle content that feels natural to me. It wasn’t something I planned out-it’s something I grew into by consistently showing up and sharing what I enjoy.
I focus more on how things feel rather than just how they look. I like creating content that feels effortless but still intentional, and I think that’s what people connect with. It’s not overly curated or forced, it’s just a reflection of my day-to-day life and what I genuinely like.
What I’m most proud of is the consistency l’ve maintained, even while balancing everything else in my life. Building something creatively while working, being a mom, and being in school hasn’t been easy, but l’ve stayed committed to it.
What sets me apart is that everything I create comes from a real place. I’m not trying to fit into a certain aesthetic or trend. I just create based on what feels like me, and I think that authenticity is what resonates the most.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is feeling like I’m moving forward in my life, even in small ways. I don’t need everything to be perfect, but knowing I’m working toward something and staying consistent brings me a lot of peace.

Spending time with my daughter is a big part of that. She grounds me and reminds me what really matters. I also find happiness in the simple things like being outside, working out, putting together outfits, or just having a moment where everything feels calm.

I think for me, happiness comes from balance. Being able to build a career, grow as a person, and still make time for the things that make me feel like myself. It’s not always perfect, but when things feel aligned, that’s when I feel the most happy.
