Life & Work with Clifton Eddington of Addison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clifton Eddington.

Hi Clifton, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2011 Clifton and Shari Eddington initiated the ministry of Liberate Church in Dallas, TX, being Dallas natives themselves, this city holds a special place in their hearts. They were first called to an assignment that is no limited to the walls of a church building. The vision they were given was to develop and lead a people created to expand the culture of Heaven into the earth.

They are adamant about ensuring that Liberate Church, aka The Place of Liberty, is not simply another church to attend for Sunday service, but is a place where people can come to experience:

– Demonstration of the presence, power and love of Christ
– Have a life changing encounter with God
– Realize purpose
– Receive supernatural revelation through thorough sound biblical doctrine
– Discover and operate in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit
– Be liberated to become all that God has divinely created His children to be

A pivotal part of their assignment also includes outreach where the church provides:
– Free School Supplies and Backpacks to the community
– Free Health Screenings to the community
– Free Groceries to the community
– Hot Meals and Supplies to the UnHomed
– Emergency Crisis Counseling to its members

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Every story has its ups and downs. Theirs is no different. Some of their struggles involve the worship facility being completely flooded during the freeze of 2020. Being displaced from a new worship building due to unintegral property management, of which the court ruled in the favor of the ministry but at an already large expense to the ministry. The loss of loved one’s. The sacrifice within our family dynamic. The more intimate hurdle is loving each person beyond their past pain and into the heal and whole version of themselves while helping them to discover and walk in purpose. Each person comes with their own story. It takes understanding that often times, people’s action is a result of what happened to them in life and that everyone has beauty inside of them. Each call has its sacrifice and its required suffering, but they wouldn’t trade a thing for the countless lives that have and are being impacted.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

What matters most to you? Why?
Creating meaningful impact that leads to real, lasting change in people’s lives. This shows up in a deep commitment to helping others grow spiritually, overcome challenges, and walk in freedom—not just through words, but through practical guidance and consistent leadership. There is a strong sense of responsibility to lead well, whether in ministry or in professional settings, with a focus on doing things with excellence, integrity, and intentionality.

At the same time, there is a clear focus on building financial stability and long-term legacy. This includes a desire to provide for family, create opportunities for growth, and even help others achieve better financial footing. Efficiency and wise decision-making play a key role in balancing these priorities, ensuring that time, energy, and resources are used effectively. Altogether, the driving force is a commitment to building something that produces lasting value—spiritually, financially, and across generations.
