Conversations with CAIN

Today we’d like to introduce you to CAIN.

Hi CAIN, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is CAIN and I’m an up-and-coming Comedian born and raised in Dallas, TX. I credit my comedic sensibility to my upbringing in a family full of roasters. In my youth I looked for acceptance by making my older sister laugh, and that quickly sparked my passion for entertaining.

Now, I impress audiences with my stories of my early life with an unorthodox upbringing, my dating life, my perspective of the world, & discussions of what makes me who I am.

I’ve been doing comedy for 3 years now I won the 2025 funniest standup in Dallas competition and I’m a regular host and feature at many major clubs including Addison Improv, Arlington Improv, Dallas Comedy Club, Backdoor Comedy, Rose City & The Grove.

I’ve opened for many touring comics like Ralph Barbosa, Matt McCusker, Brian Simpson, & Ian Fidance just to name a few. I’ve been hosting & featuring around DFW and even doing some shows out of town and out of state but I’m still trying to build my resume and work with more touring headliners and great clubs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Just the struggle of treating what some people might consider a “hobby” as a full time job

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Stand up comedy. I’m most proud of my progress in a short amount of time, headlining The Addison Improv, performing at the majestic theatre twice, and winning funniest person in Dallas.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Never be afraid to ask questions and don’t wait for people to open doors for you
