Life and Work with Aisha Simone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Simone.

The savvy model and Business Coach — Aisha Simone is a rising talent and fierce businesswoman from New York expanding to Dallas, Texas. Simone was quickly introduced to a life of hustle and hard work. From Flushing, Queens shortly before high school, she had already lived in multiple cities scattered about the Midwest and the east coast. Combined with her unique and exotic African American and Puerto Rican beauty, it’s no wonder then, why she’s flowered so quickly to become one of the city’s most promising businesswomen.

Modeling has always been my number two and running my own business has always been my #1 goal. Even though modeling is what made me money first it also helped me understand my other skills. I was helping companies and entrepreneurs like myself who were also chasing their dreams and hustling in Manhattan (like me) not knowing it. Because I am helpful and don’t like settling, I’ve learned it’s not that I’m helpful, not only a go-getter and creative person but that was my talent. What makes ASM and Company, my company difference is the forces behind it, me. I’ve been exposed to a wide range of networking, businesses associates and acquaintances to know the possibilities. Having that around me all my life and then moving to Dallas, I see the wide demographics and opportunities out here that I want to make happen.

I plan on continuing doing both here in Dallas. I’ve learned by sharing who you are behind a camera and/or in front can take you a long way when dealing with people in a business.

As a business owner and entrepreneur, my company and I, ASM, focuses on thriving businesses to reach the profit-line through our strategic action-plan and implementation. I strive to empower individuals to reach goals and increase sales for the business. now im stretching my skill to Dallas, Texas. wanting to work with the wide demographics and opportunities, build a team and extend my services across different industries.

I’m all about girl power and teamwork. being pretty is not always easy when you want to close deals, teach others and even be respected period. That was why business relationships are very important to me as well as understanding place, time and the company you keep.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The thing about being and wanting to be an entrepreneur is it’s not easy, not an inch of it and it’s not supposed to be. Starting in October 2010, I told myself it wasn’t going to be easy and that is going to take time and learning from mistakes that needed to be made.

At this time, I was a fit model for a company in NYC who clients where Macys, c21 and jimmyjazz to name a few. I used that platform to build relationships and connections. One of my mentors in life was the lady I worked for, she never knew that and I’ve never told her how much she inspired me. I learn classy, in charge and be sharp when dealing with people from her.

How did I know business consulting (coaching) was my talent? I was hanging out with a successful business owner who was a friend of mine who was going through a down in his business. He was venting to me but my response wasn’t just to listen. it was to change, fix or to help, naturally. I gave him answers to things he didn’t understand were happening in his company, why he was the blame for things and I also told him actions to take and why. Now, this was friends just talking, but this ended up being a life-changing moment in my life when I was told me: wow, you’re talented. Really is your talent, did you really just help me fix these issues and gave me a good plan of action”.. plan? talent? me?… that night in Manhattan walking home did not only give the chills but I got my title and I defined it while just being me. That’s how I knew this was my purpose and I finally got the message.

Being the pretty girl in the room is not always an easy position. Image if you were excited to sit down and hold a business meeting and you’re on your game, you studied hard, you gathered information and was ready to pitch. How do you know that man or women was ready to hear it or even cared when what they wanted the whole time is just time for you. What a waste. What a letdown but also it was time to boss up in my life and not waste any more time. how could I stop this? I started doing a questionnaire and create steps to take to close first and make sure that this deal, money or client was for me. That’s when I learned: “all money and money for you”.

You feel how you look and bring those energies to you, what wrong with looking great? Nothing, but we as women have to pay attention to real business. The good and what you or your business deserves vs. fake, the opposite. What you don’t or shouldn’t settle for.

If I had to tell younger girls coming up it is to study what you want. There are plenty of easy routes to take today but are they short or long term? A study from books, stories, researching and local success owners around you. People forget behind every celebrity or successful business owners they follow or look up to, there are stories and a struggle. Learn the struggle, the raw and put in work. I believe as you strengthen you and do the work, the work will come.

Invest. Invest in you and companies that support you. Investing is not only money but its time.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with my story and my businesses journey – ASM and COMPANY – LIFE AS AISHA SIMONE – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a model and business coach and go-getter by the books. Some jobs I’ve done are:
BRAND AMBASSADOR & FOOTPRINT MANAGER, GUY FIERI (FOOD NETWORK) AND CARNIVAL; STATE FAIR, DALLAS TEXAS — 2017

Guy and Carnival collaborated in doing a donations and kids cook-off at The Texas State Fair. It was a red carpet event with guest judges. As the lead, I coordinated the operations for giving away 30,000 giveaways within five hours. Accomplished. Managing a group of eight Brand Ambassadors while coordinating with a staff of 30+ media crew and four managers. The event was successful and I continued to work with carnival today.
FOOTPRINT MANAGER, TAYLOR SWIFT; HOUSTON, TEXAS. — 2017

Taylor Swift had a pregame party for her concert during Super Bowl weekend. I was the lead manager for the T-shirt printing foot print. Organizing orders and managing orders as they came in, kept staff on track and overseeing the production. We processed over a thousand shirts in three hours for fans. Very fast past and packed event. There were 5-8 other sections outside of what I managed.
MANAGER, CARNIVAL CRUISE; ARLINGTON, TEXAS — 2016

Carnival Cruise Line launched the new ship and promoted it at the AT&T Stadium during the Cowboys game. I worked with the clients and I managed a group of 12 Brand Ambassadors whom I work for hands-on, as we engage with our guests and spread brand awareness. We gave out prizes and invited them into a virtual reality experience.
PRODUCTION MANAGER, KANYE WEST; FRISCO, TX — 2016

The Pablo pop up shop by Kanye West was a project happening in 28 cities. I was apart of the production and management team. I dealt with contractors, the mall management, managed over 20 Brand Ambassadors and set up and broke down this event. Overseeing the opening days and keeping count of the cash flow all three days. Work 6.

What sets you apart from others? As a photographer, K.Hill said last week, “What was different about Aisha verses other models was that she brought a sense of professionalism mixed with pure enthusiasm for everything we set out to do. She was a delight.” I am me, I don’t pretend or try to be someone else.

What do you specialize in, what are you known for – my beauty and love for fashion, my go-getter never give up, attitude, women empowerment, creative New Yorker.

Who have you been inspired by?
It’s not just women its everyone that are entrepreneurs. From YouTube blogger to fashion designers to reality TV.

Kimora Lee Simmons – she always was fabulous and inspiring to my generation and as a business women she hired young talent and knew the benefits from that. I looked up to her for keeping those type of employees and because then she had a show, it also showed the ups and downs in business, I will go through one day.

I inspire myself when I learn something new.

When I think, I think deeper than the normal person. i,e, when someone watches a reality show, they are only entertained by the show. I am figuring out who and the whys of why the producer did this and how would I tell my client how to move or how we should capitalize.

I think deeper for the reasons why because everything in life and topic, action or word you use… there is a reason why and I like it or express it.
