Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristal Baith.
Hi Kristal, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a registered nurse by profession, but creativity has always been part of who I am. Over the years, I spent a lot of time caring for others, leading teams, building businesses, and navigating life experiences that shaped me deeply. Somewhere along the way, art became more than just a hobby — it became an outlet, a form of healing, and eventually a way to connect with people on a much deeper level.
I started creating abstract art and pairing it with poetry as a way to express emotions that are hard to put into words. My work is very layered and textured, much like life itself — messy, evolving, imperfect, but still beautiful. What began as painting through difficult seasons slowly turned into building my own brand and sharing that process publicly through social media.
Today, I create art centered around resilience, identity, and healing . I love creating pieces that make people feel seen and understood, and I’ve been growing a community around honest storytelling, creativity, and emotional connection. I’m still evolving, still learning, and still building — but that’s part of the beauty of the journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Like most creative journeys, mine has come with a lot of uncertainty, self-doubt, and rebuilding. I started sharing my work publicly later in life, which can feel intimidating, especially in a world where social media moves so fast and constantly makes you question whether you’re doing enough. Visibility and getting my work in front of the right audience has definitely been one of the biggest challenges.
There were also personal seasons that shaped the work itself — times of emotional exhaustion, change, and trying to rediscover who I was outside of taking care of everything else. Art became the place where I processed a lot of that. Some pieces came from chaos, some from healing, and some from simply refusing to give up on myself.
Building a creative business has also meant wearing every hat — artist, marketer, content creator, storyteller, business owner — often all at once. It’s been messy and imperfect at times, but I think that honesty is part of what people connect with. I’ve learned that growth rarely looks polished while you’re in it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an abstract artist and poet focused on creating emotionally driven work centered around resilience, healing, identity, and transformation. My paintings are layered, textured, and often paired with original poetry to deepen the emotional connection behind each piece.
What I’m most proud of is building a brand rooted in authenticity and vulnerability. I share not only the finished artwork, but also the real emotions and creative process behind it. I think what sets me apart is the combination of abstract art, storytelling, and poetry — creating work that feels personal, honest, and deeply human.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the industry is shifting toward authenticity and emotional connection. As AI and digital content continue to grow, people are craving more human, personal, and emotionally driven work. Audiences want to connect not just with the art itself, but with the artist and the story behind it.
I also think social media and personal branding will continue changing the art world, giving independent artists more opportunities to build direct relationships with their audience outside of traditional galleries.
