Hi Kristen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into the world of third-party reproduction began through my own experiences as a three-time egg donor.
Being an egg donor gave me a unique perspective on the incredible possibilities that assisted reproductive technology creates for individuals and couples who dream of becoming parents. Through each donation, I witnessed the hope, trust, and collaboration that make family building possible and developed a deep respect for everyone involved in the process.
Those experiences sparked a passion that ultimately led me to build my career in the surrogacy industry. I was drawn to the opportunity to support intended parents during one of the most important journeys of their lives and to advocate for the women who choose to help them through donation and surrogacy.
Over the years, that passion has evolved into a commitment to ethical, relationship-centered surrogacy. I believe that successful journeys are built on transparency, education, communication, and genuine care for everyone involved. Whether working with intended parents pursuing parenthood or guiding surrogates through their own remarkable experiences, I strive to create an environment where people feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.
My background as an egg donor allows me to understand the emotional and practical aspects of third-party reproduction from a personal perspective, while my professional experience has given me the knowledge and expertise to navigate the complexities of modern surrogacy. Together, those experiences have shaped my approach: leading with empathy, advocating with integrity, and never losing sight of the life-changing impact this work has on the families we serve.
Helping create families isn’t just my profession—it’s a mission that began with my own desire to help others and continues to inspire me every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have been blessed to grow our Agency organically and naturally, but no, it was not always a smooth road. As our agency grew, so did the surrogacy industry itself. What began as a relatively small and relationship-driven field evolved into a complex, rapidly expanding industry with increasing legal, medical, and operational demands. In our early years, we learned through experience—navigating changing regulations, developing best practices, building trusted relationships with clinics and attorneys, and refining the systems needed to support families and surrogates successfully. Like many pioneering agencies, we faced challenges that came with growth, from scaling operations while maintaining personalized service to adapting to new technologies and evolving expectations from intended parents.
Today, our challenges look different. The surrogacy industry has become increasingly competitive and heavily influenced by outside investment, with private equity firms acquiring agencies and consolidating market share. While these investments can accelerate growth, they can also shift priorities toward volume and profitability. As an independently owned agency, we remain committed to a different path. Our ongoing challenge is balancing sustainable business growth with the personalized, ethical approach that has always defined who we are. We believe that the most important decisions should be made based on what is best for the families and surrogates we serve—not what delivers the highest return to investors. Preserving that independence requires discipline, innovation, and a long-term perspective, but it allows us to stay true to our mission and maintain the trust that has been the foundation of our success.
