Rising Stars: Meet Abby Seysei of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abby Seysei.

Hi Abby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
If you had told me years ago that one day I’d be raising two boys, sharing our family’s life online, and encouraging hundreds of thousands of people through ordinary moments, I don’t think I would’ve believed you.

My life has been shaped by a series of unexpected chapters, each one teaching me something different about resilience, purpose, and the kind of legacy I wanted to leave behind.

Growing up, music was my world. I spent years performing, writing, and chasing big dreams. Music gave me confidence, taught me discipline, and showed me the power of hard work. It also instilled a mindset that has stayed with me ever since: if you’re willing to learn, stay persistent, and put in the work, you can accomplish far more than you ever imagined.

Then life took an unexpected turn. Becoming a young single mom completely changed my perspective. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, but it also became one of the most refining. It forced me to grow up quickly, lean on my faith, and become intentional about the kind of home and future I wanted for my son.

Years later, I met my husband, Jonathan. Finding someone whose character matched his words restored so much hope in my heart. Together, we’ve worked intentionally to build a home centered around faith, emotional connection, kindness, and being fully present with our children. One of our greatest passions is raising boys who know they’re deeply loved, emotionally safe, and equipped to become men of integrity.

I never planned on becoming a content creator. I simply started sharing little pieces of our everyday life: motherhood, parenting, home projects, family traditions, and the ordinary moments that often become the most meaningful. To my surprise, those moments resonated with people. Our community steadily grew, one of our family videos eventually surpassed 64 million views, and I began receiving messages from people around the world telling me our content feels “like home.”

Those messages have become my greatest motivation.

I’m reminded often that people aren’t searching for perfect homes or perfect families. They’re searching for hope. They want to know that peaceful homes still exist, that healthy marriages are possible, that children can be raised with intention, and that joy can still be found in everyday life.

Today, alongside creating content, I teach piano, manage an Airbnb property, and wear the many hats that come with raising a young family. Every season has shaped who I am, but my mission has remained the same: to encourage others to build lives they truly love, not because they’re perfect, but because they’re filled with purpose, gratitude, and the people who matter most.

If someone finishes watching one of our videos feeling a little more hopeful than they did before, then I know I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think one of the biggest challenges was learning to trust myself again.

After my first marriage ended, I spent a long time questioning my own judgment. I was raising a young child while trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted my future to look like. It wasn’t just about navigating life as a single mom – it was about rebuilding my confidence and realizing that one difficult chapter didn’t have to define the rest of my story.

I also had to let go of the pressure to have everything figured out. Looking back, I can see how much I grew through that season. It taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people of strong character.

When I eventually met my husband, one of the things that stood out most wasn’t grand gestures…it was consistency. Watching someone live out integrity every day helped me realize what a healthy relationship could actually look like. That experience has shaped not only our marriage but also the way we parent and the values we try to model for our boys.

Even today, balancing it all and trying to be present for my family can be challenging. I’ve learned that balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about knowing what matters most in each season and being okay with letting some things wait.

More than anything, I’ve learned that setbacks don’t have to become your identity. Some of the experiences that once felt like my biggest disappointments have become the very things that allow me to encourage someone else today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve always been someone who loves to create. One thing I’ve learned about myself is that creativity has never really been about music, home design, or content creation. Those are simply different expressions of the same part of who I am.

These days, that passion shows up in almost everything I do. I love creating content, renovating our home, designing an Airbnb space, photography, and dreaming up new ideas. My brain is basically one long list of, “Ooh… we should do this next.”

One thing I’ve learned is that creativity doesn’t have to stay in one lane. I love taking an idea, whether it’s a home project, a video, or something that helps another family, and figuring out how to bring it to life. Looking ahead, I’d love to create resources that help families build rich, intentional lives. Whether that’s music, homeschooling, supporting families navigating ADHD, strengthening marriages, creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, or inspiring families to create meaningful traditions, celebrate life’s milestones well, and make lasting memories together, I don’t know exactly what that will look like yet, but I love dreaming about what’s possible.

I’m especially excited for what’s ahead because my husband and I share a love for building a rich, meaningful life, not because of things, but because of the experiences we create together. I love that I get to help shape what that looks like for our family and invite others along for the journey. I feel most like myself when I’m creating, and I truly believe that’s how God wired me. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about taking an idea that exists only in your imagination and watching it become something real. I can’t wait to see what this next season holds.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is watching the people I love become more fully themselves.

Seeing my boys grow up feeling emotionally safe, deeply loved, and free to explore who God created them to be is one of my greatest joys. I didn’t have that in every season of my own childhood, so being able to help create that kind of home for them feels incredibly meaningful. I love seeing them laugh, discover new interests, and know they’re loved exactly as they are.

My husband is my best friend, and honestly, I’m a little obsessed with him. I love getting to do life alongside him every day. One of my favorite things is seeing how home has become his safe place, where he can relax, laugh, be completely himself, and know he’s deeply loved. We’ve worked hard to build that kind of home together, and I never take it for granted.

I also find so much joy in beauty. Not necessarily expensive or extravagant things, but the beauty hidden in ordinary moments. A family dinner, a garden beginning to bloom, a cozy corner of our home, a photo that captures a fleeting moment, or everyone laughing until there are tears creeping out of our eyeballs. Those little moments are the ones I treasure most.

We’d choose meaningful experiences over fancy things almost every time. Some of my favorite memories come from planning birthdays, celebrating milestones, taking family trips, and creating traditions that I hope my boys will one day pass on to their own families.

I also treasure the friendships where I can completely be myself. There’s something special about being with people who know you well, laugh with you, encourage you, and make you feel safe enough to be your authentic, goofy self.

At the end of the day, I think what makes me happiest is building a life where the people I love, including me, have the freedom to become exactly who God created us to be. If years from now my boys remember that home was the place where they were known, celebrated, and safe, I’ll feel like I’ve succeeded.
