Today we’d like to introduce you to Drip Kultur.
Drip , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born and raised in Michigan City, Indiana, and now operating out of Dallas, Texas, my story is built on the intersection of raw audio production and immersive visual storytelling. Performing and producing under the name Drip Kultur—and handling beat production as Drip Cookedit—I built my foundation by crafting, recording, and mixing trap, rap, and R&B tracks. Wanting to push creative boundaries beyond music alone, I expanded into screenwriting, developing gritty thrillers, web series, and animated comedy projects. Today, operating as a multi-hyphenate beat producer, audio engineer, and scriptwriter, I bring those two worlds together, bridging sonic depth and narrative vision into a single, cohesive brand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t always smooth. When I first started, I struggled with the professional knowledge of a film production company owner. I read many books, sharpening my skills all while being hands on with script writing, filming and post production. As far as producing music, I started in 2002 and continued to perfect my craft throughout the years.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a multi-hyphenate creator—operating as a beat producer, audio engineer, and scriptwriter under Drip Kultur and Drip Cookedit— I work bridges sonic depth and visual narrative. I specialize in crafting, recording, and mixing hard-hitting trap, rap, and R&B, What sets me apart is my ability to blend heavy-hitting audio production with high-concept storytelling, seamlessly transitioning from engineering polished, radio-ready mixes in FL Studio to writing full screenplays, series bibles, and animated comedy pilots like SIN and Cleo. I’m known for this dual-threat versatility—delivering distinct, hard-hitting sonics alongside rich, character-driven narratives—and take the most pride in executing every step of the creative vision myself, turning raw concepts into fully realized audio and visual projects.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The film industry is an ever growing market. Projected in the billions. As for music, we can’t live without it, so it’s forever needed. I plan to see my film business alongside the greats such as Tyler Perry Studios, G-unit Studios, Blumhouse, A24 just to name a few. I plan to become a super producer and possibly work with some of the biggest artist in the rap industry.
