Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacklyn Asenath.
Hi Jacklyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since I was a little girl, my dream was always to be an Entrepreneur. I remember sitting in my 7th grade classroom and the teacher writing the word “ENTREPRENEUR” on the board. I didn’t even fully understand what an Entrepreneur was, but I knew I wanted to be one. I’ve always enjoyed building, creating, and helping others. Upon graduating from Texas Christian University with a degree in marketing and entrepreneurship, I asked the Lord for guidance and opened doors for what was next. While in college, I had a couple of marketing internships, one of which was a social media marketing internship through the TCU entrepreneurship program. Once I graduated, the owner of that company approached me. She told me she liked what I was doing, and that if I wanted to keep doing it, she wanted to pay me. The Lord had so clearly opened a door, and I chose to follow Him through it.
Over time, the Lord provided more clients and beautiful opportunities that could have only come from him. I’ve had the honor of creating brands my clients are proud of, delivering results, and growing their digital presence. My favorite part of what I do is forming relationships with the owners of the companies I work with. I believe trust is earned, and it’s so amazing to see the trust I have built with clients over time.
Today, I am the proud owner of Selah Marketing Agency based in Dallas, Texas. As it continues to grow, Lord willing, my hope is that I get to continue to serve clients, deliver results, and build online platforms they’re proud to showcase to the world.
As for the vision I have inside this agency, it’s to continue creating opportunities for young women to learn, grow, and use their unique gifts to serve our clients with excellence, while encouraging them to step into the incredible women God created them to be. I’m beyond thankful for everything God has blessed me with, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but through every challenge, God has remained faithful, providing exactly what I’ve needed to persevere, grow, and come out stronger. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the hard work I’ve poured into this business create meaningful results and lasting value for the clients I have the honor of serving.

What makes you happy?
Jesus, my beautiful family, my friends who are blessings, the people I work with, and honestly: my life. At my core, I’m very simple. I care deeply about my relationships and see everything else as an added blessing. I think you have to be happy with the simple or nothing will ever feel like “enough”. I’ve worked hard to build every relationship I have. My relationships make me happy, but Jesus is who gives me joy.
