Check Out Andrea Aceves’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Aceves.

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Andrea Aceves, 23 years old, raised in McKinney, Texas. I am a licensed esthetician specializing in waxing and the founder of Drea Beauty, a cosmetic brand built around intentional beauty rituals and slowing down to appreciate the little moments. I have always known I wanted to be in the beauty industry. My journey with Drea Beauty actually began when I was 16 years old while I was still in high school. What started as a dream quickly turned into something real. I spent hours coming up with names, designing logos, researching products, and teaching myself everything I could about starting a business. Later on, I launched my first version of Drea Beauty, selling beauty products to classmates, packing orders after school, and shipping them from home. It was my first experience building a brand, and it was also how many people in my community first came to know me!
At 19, I became a licensed esthetician and started Drea’s Beauty Bar. As my clientele grew, so did my understanding of what beauty truly meant. Working one on one with women every day showed me that beauty is about so much more than the products we use. It is about confidence, connection, and creating moments that make people feel good about themselves. Over the years, I have built a loyal clientele, and those experiences have shaped the way I approach everything I create.
As I grew personally and professionally, I realized the original version of Drea Beauty no longer reflected the vision I had for the brand. I wanted it to be more intentional and more meaningful. That realization led to a complete rebrand! I restarted all over again. Today, Drea Beauty is centered around the idea that beauty should feel effortless, elevated, and become part of a daily ritual rather than just another step in a routine.
Every product is created with the hope of helping someone slow down and enjoy the small moments that often go unnoticed. Whether it is applying a lip gloss before leaving the house or taking a few extra minutes for yourself in the morning, I want Drea Beauty to remind people that self care does not have to be extravagant to be meaningful.
One of my favorite things about this journey is knowing that Drea Beauty has grown with me. It started as the dream of a 16 year old girl shipping orders after school, and today it represents the woman I have become and the purpose I want to share with others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I truly believe every challenge has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build a business without having all the answers. I started my entrepreneurial journey at a young age, and so much of what I know has come from trial and error, A LOT! From sourcing products and creating a brand identity to managing inventory, finances, and marketing. There have been moments where things did not go as planned, and times I’ve felt like giving up. But each obstacle became an opportunity to grow and improve more. Another challenge has been balancing two businesses at once. Running Drea’s Beauty Bar while building Drea Beauty has required a lot of discipline, long hours, and sacrifice. There have been many late nights and early mornings, but I have always believed in the vision enough to keep showing up! One of the biggest lessons I have had to learn is that success is hardly ever linear. There are seasons of growth, waiting, and times where you have to completely rethink your approach. Drea Beauty itself went through a full rebrand because I realized the original version no longer reflected the vision I had for the brand. While making that decision was very nervewrecking and difficult, it really allowed me to build a brand that now feels authentic to who I am today. I would not change any of those challenges because they have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying committed to your vision even when the path is uncertain and scary. Every setback has helped shape the brand and the founder I am slowly becoming.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a licensed esthetician, I specialize in brazilian waxing with a focus on creating a comfortable, welcoming experience where my clients feel confident and cared for. Building long lasting relationships with my clients has been one of the most rewarding parts, and I am so proud of the loyal clientele that has trusted me over the years!
As the founder of Drea Beauty, I am passionate about creating products that encourage people to slow down and be intentional with their daily routines. To me, beauty has never been about perfection. It’s about how a product makes you feel and the confidence it gives you throughout your day. What I am most proud of is building a brand that truly reflects who I am. Drea Beauty was never created to simply follow trends or sell just another lip gloss. Every decision, from product development and packaging to branding and marketing, is rooted in creating an experience that feels elevated and intentional.
I believe what sets me apart is that I approach beauty from both a service provider’s perspective and a founder’s perspective. Spending years working one on one with women has really allowed me to understand what they are really looking for. They are not just buying a product. They are buying confidence, a feeling, and a moment for themselves. That understanding has influenced every product I create and every decision I make as I continue to grow Drea Beauty.I hope people continue to know Drea Beauty as more than just a cosmetic brand. I want it to be a brand that reminds people to find beauty in the everyday, embrace intentional living, and create small rituals that make ordinary moments feel special.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was definitely the shy kid. I have always been more of an observer than the loudest person in the room, but even at a young age I knew I had a love for all things beauty. My dad always wanted me to try new things, so he signed me up for almost every sport you could think of. I played soccer, tried boxing, did cheerleading, and a little bit of everything. He gave it his best shot, but no matter what I tried, I always found myself going right back to makeup brushes. Looking back, it’s something I can laugh about now because beauty was clearly where I was meant to be.
I also grew up watching my mom sell Avon, when Avon was the thing. If you know, you know. I loved flipping through the catalogs with her. I was fascinated by all the makeup, skincare, and little beauty products. Those little moments probably had a much bigger impact on me than either of us realized at the time but those moments planted the seed for what would eventually become Drea Beauty. I have always been someone who enjoys creating, whether that meant experimenting with makeup, coming up with business ideas, or dreaming about having a brand of my own. Now I realize I can see that the little girl who loved beauty never really changed. She just grew up and turned that passion into a career and a business.
