Today we’d like to introduce you to Milly Richardson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was Born in India. I came to Dallas 15 years ago. I started working as a brow technician, and every client followed me.
I am also an artist and I have the privilege of touching people’s lives through my art.
I am also passionate about the performing arts, including acting, singing, and dancing. For nearly a decade, I have been a lead actor with IMOC Productions. In 2025, I shared the stage with Angela White (Black Chyna) and Mama Dee, from Love and hip-hop, in the play, The Halfway House, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Most recently, I have been performing in the comedy play The Living Room, where I portray the hilarious Auntie Pam. The production was written, directed, and produced by Drema Connery Parker, CEO of IMOC Productions. We are now preparing to film several movies, and I am excited to bring to life some wonderful new characters that have been written especially for me.
For more than 15 years, Dallas has been my home. I am also the CEO and founder of Gentle Hands Eyebrow Threading, where I specialize in eyebrow threading, microblading, and microshading. My artistic background allows me to approach every service with precision, creativity, and attention to detail—giving my clients results that are truly one of a kind.
I volunteer as an art teacher at the Senior Life Center in Lancaster, Texas, where I have the joy of encouraging seniors to express themselves through creativity.
My studio, located in the Bishop Arts District, has become much more than a beauty studio. Surrounded by my colorful paintings, many clients describe it as a place of peace and healing—a space where they can relax, unwind, and simply be themselves. During their appointments, we often talk about art, life, meditation, manifestation, and positive living. I also enjoy sharing what I’ve learned about Reiki healing and personal growth with those who are open it.
I live in Oak Cliff with my husband, Gary Richardson, my female dog, Jazz. And two female cats, Magic and Spotty, who like to frolic in backyard garden.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I knew I had to be on my own. And doors of opportunities opened for me as I started my, Gentle Hands Threading, Business. Since most of my clients followed me, it didn’t seem hard. My work studio became exhibition hall for my clients, my art started getting recognition. I met producers, directors and Art dealers and could flexibly use my time to achieve all my dreams.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a local artist based in the Dallas area, and I have the privilege of touching people’s lives through my art. I specialize in portrait, painting. I paint a family member, transform vintage black-and-white photograph into a vibrant, lifelike portrait.
My clients often tell, that the eyes in my paintings seem to come alive. They feel as though their loved ones are looking back at them.
