Conversations with Savannah Patterson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah Patterson.

Hi Savannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been doing photography for about 8 years now and I love it! It started off as something that I did for fun with friends and then slowly progressed and turned into a business. I grew my business throughout college and got to be a part of a magazine for Texas A&M called A-Line. I feel like this really helped me grow in my creativity when photographing clients. Now I do photography full time! I love meeting new clients and helping photograph some of the most important parts of their lives. Making those memories last a lifetime is so important and invaluable to me. What a blessing it is to get to work with people during life changing moments or stages in life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I definitely struggled with life work balance during college! I was constantly trying to figure out a good balance between working, relationships, school, family, and fun! Thankfully I have gotten better at managing all of these things now that I have a little one. I’ve come to realize that it all ebbs and flows the way that it is supposed to!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I focus on photographing seniors, weddings, and college graduates! I have also started to dabble in wedding day content creation, which has been so much fun! I am known to be a friendly face that is good at making people feel comfortable getting their photos taken. (Which is often a big anxiety and something that people don’t always feel very comfortable doing!) I am proud of my creative eye and the things that I am able to catch on a wedding day or at a senior session.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would definitely say having a smile on my face and showing people kindness or going the extra mile has been so important for my business. I love making sure that my people are taken care of and know that I am there to help them get what they want!
